  1. I have Retired

Shouldn't "How May I Help You" be on the front of his shirt? People can only read it as he's walking away.
  2. advice to have my foot in the door to the printing business. equipment/supplies etc..

To me the BN-20 is a toy. It's like buying a direct to garment printer that prints 1 T-shirt at a time. You can't make a living with that machine. Don't waste your money. Sell, sell, sell, get some orders, sub them out, then buy a decent eco-solvent printer IF your volume merits it. Roland...

Wow, that 31 page PDF is pretty impressive. Thanks, much appreciated. Enjoy your time off, but hang around here and throw some advice in when you can.
  4. Vinyl Sign Graphics Pricing

Labor is way too low. You should be getting $125/hour minimum for labor outside of your shop, plus travel time. The guy who comes to service my printers gets $150/hour labor and $125/hour for travel time, 1 way.
  5. Air purifier needed for surecolor?

The problem with filtering outside is, if you are sending 1200 cfm outside, another 1200 cfm needs to come in from somewhere else. It's like off loading all you A/C to the outside, you'd have to bring in warm air from another source, usually from outside. It's called MUA or "Make Up Air" in the...
  6. Print Issue - Static Cling

May be worth having a guy make a profile for you if this material is going to be a regular run for you. Just sayin'.
  7. Roland sp300v ink draining

If you don't use it, get rid of it and sub out your intermittent jobs. Cost if ink and maintenance is robbing you of profit.
  8. Print Issue - Static Cling

Do you have the correct profile from the manufacturer for that printer/ink setup and material? Also the correct heat setting?
  9. advice to have my foot in the door to the printing business. equipment/supplies etc..

Try sales, see how good you are with that. The sales come first, then the equipment.

  12. Xante x-98 Thoughts

OK, search here on the forum for "air filtration". There have been many threads on the subject. We use an Island Clean Air Duster 2000, 75 lbs of charcoal filters, over 1000CFM, very expensive if purchased new, about $5,500. Look on Craigslist or Ebay for a used one. On the threads here you will...

Aint that the truth!! I bought a lifetime Sirius subscription when it first came out. Already had it transferred to 3 different autos. Every channel except "easy listening" is packed with ad's. Just like listening to regular radio. The only advantage is you can listen to 1 channel even if you're...

HOUSTON!..... we have found the money leak in the US Postal Service. We now know why your in debt for 100's of millions. An older gentleman wearing coveralls in Florida is using all your boxes. Swarm, swarm, swarm.
  16. Loss of a great artist

So you do like this right wing forum and its inhabitants. We knew you did....:roflmao:
  17. Xante x-98 Thoughts

Enjoyed seeing that bottle- Judge Roy Bean, The only Law west of the Pecos. Paul Newman played that movie back in the 70's. Did you print that bottle on your Xante? If so, that is some kickin' artwork and print. Nice job. Static you can handle, fumes are a bigger problem. How do you handle the...
  18. Wrapping truck utility box

Anybody remember this guy from the 60's? Now that's a real paint job. Included wheels and door jams.
  19. Printer/Cutter vs. Stand-alone Cutter

Don't work yourself out of a job, but just subbing out the banners to a wholesale printer would have saved you a ton of time. It's not just the printing, but it's the finishing that's a time killer.
