  1. Refinish on 10 year old sign

Thanks for the detail, I've moved almost exclusively to acrylic latex paints myself and have been very happy with the results. The one thing that sometimes still causes grief is aluminum.
  2. Refinish on 10 year old sign

Very nice job, I was wondering if you could elaborate a little on the refinishing process you used and what paint was originally used and what paint you refinished with.
  3. Houston, we have liftoff.

    I agree...big improvement!
  4. I need help!

Here's the definitive guide for wall graphics installation, note the test kit and procedure on page 11.
  5. Another attempt

I agree that the most pleasing arrangment is the middle far right. I also think you should try it without that burst in the back that makes it look like a spike ball. That's a great disco ball and maybe it should just have some random highlights, like you have on the inside, be a little larger...
  6. Houston, we have liftoff.

Well, I don't mean to belabor this point but I'm sorry, I see it as a big stumbling block on the first introduction to your site, and for you, premier web site designer to have such an issue is counterproductive to say the least. You say it's OK if 100% of the people don't get it but here you...
  7. Houston, we have liftoff.

Dan, there is a block on the right top in the first page that says "Get more info about our web design" but then the funtionality of that block changes with the changing pictures. So if you want more info about your web design and you click that block, you may end up with info on vehicle...
  8. Before/After planning stages

Pheww...well at least there's an explanation then!
  9. Before/After planning stages

Graphically for the rest of the sign perhaps, but for a directional list I think that needs to be instantly identifiable and an alphabetical order is important for that. Every wayfinding gateway municipal signage I ever did was alphabetical, even all my landscapers laundry lists are...
  10. Houston, we have liftoff.

Sorry, that's why it would be nice if you could see the pathetic situation as I try navigating through a website rather than me trying to tell the story. I simply meant that on the first page you have those arrows that are drawing complaint but then when you go to every other page you no longer...
  11. Merchant Warning - Killer Graphics

Sorry, I just realized that the old link in that thread no longer works. Basically it was his own story about how he runs his business and he described how he really doesn't do any of his own work but outsources it all over the place. As I recall it was a sad picture of how he operates.
  12. Banner Tape

Just to note...that Power Edge single sided banner tape is 2-3 times the cost of regular banner tape.
  13. Before/After planning stages

I'm just curious as to why no one thinks it's an issue not to have that directional list in alphabetical order. I think people intuitively look at lists in that way and I always do them that way.
  14. Houston, we have liftoff.

Couple of minor things...I agree completely that the first page and those slider things need to be changed. Also, when I finally got to the other pages I couldn't even concentrate on the content because the slider things weren't there they are plain on all the other pages and the first thing I...
  15. Merchant Warning - Killer Graphics

I think if you re-read this thread http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38186 that might explain things. Frankly, I can't understand how he did business with anyone at all and then I saw him in his chicken cooking video and he seemed like a nice guy so I felt badly for him the...
  16. Banner Tape

Those creases are just the result of tunneling from the rolling of the banner and will diminish when the banner is un-rolled for a little while. It's just the nature of the product and isn't really an issue. Try not to roll the banners tightly.
  17. Houston, we have liftoff.

On a 10 second glance my very first impression and question is, why do you have such a super emphasis on New Jersey on the first page? It seems excessive and odd, most people try to hide the location and appeal to a broader national audience and you are doing the opposite.
  18. Before/After planning stages

The only other thing about the directional portion is that, if it was me, I would put those in alphabetical order. I don't know if you have a reason for the order you used or not.
  19. Before/After planning stages

The other option with the arrows is as pictured
  20. Do you hem all sides of banner?

Tim, I've been wanting to get a machine too and the Juki 1541 seems to be a top contender.
