I was talking with the Epson rep that did the installs for the first few GS6000's and he said the it is pretty much a Mutoh machine but the print heads are totally unique to the GS6000. No other solvent print head can go down to a 3.7 pl drop size. That is what I was told.

Don't quote me, but the VP has 4 print heads and I am guessing the SP still only has 2. I haven't checked, just guessing.

I have also seem humidity and heater settings cause problems like this.

My printer works fine and my calibration print looks like that. It does look like you should set it to .2 or .25 instead of .1 though.

I updated to 3.3. Seems to work fine for me so far. Doesn't seem like much changed by ready the specs of it.

I just got my a couple months ago and it came with both. The manual says it includes both sets.

I have used material from Roland, Sihl and Hexis. All have worked very good. I get my Sihl material from www.graphicsmedia.biz. I used the Roland Versaworks profile for canvas.

How do you like your GS6000? I have been looking at them and I am very interested in one. I just like to hear from people in the industry that are actually using them rather than the people selling them. You hear the good and the bad then. Thanks. matt

They have interesting english in NJ. I am very happy with my as well.

I have printed some decals with 3 point type on my VP-540

Are the boxes spot colors? If they are, change them to a regular CMYK and it should fix it. When you put a shadow on top of a spot color, it messes it up and the area of the drop shadow, the box you see, is being converted to a regular cmyk instead of the spot. One of the downfalls of...

Get the VP series. I had a SP-300 and it was a great machine, but the VP is a way better printer. Plus with double the print heads the faster speed is nice too. I would also recommend doing whatever you can to get the 54" too. You won't regret it.

I did the update right away. Seems to work fine. Just a bunch of little things and some fixes of bugs that are in there from the last update.

I would like their information if you don't mind. I would like to check into one of those for myself.
