  5. SP300 stops printing

    I had a problem where the printer would stop in the middle of a job and VW would say that it was not connected. I called Roland and they recommended I initialize VW or try a different computer. I setup a different computer and everything has worked fine ever since.

  7. Help with VP-540

    I got it figured out. Something was messed up with VersaWorks on my computer. I installed VersaWorks on a different computer and everything is working fine. Even the firmware updater from Roland. I have never been able to get that to work.

    Mine will do that and it will also crash when it tries to startup for the first time of the day.

    What about the 3M primer? Mostly used for vehicle wraps. I think it is called 94 tape primer. Just a thought. I know that crap makes vinyl stick like crazy.

    I have tried a new cable since the cutting issue started. It's connected directly to the computer through a new dlink ethernet card.

    I am having issues where the printer will mess up when cutting. It will start cutting fine, then do a big X over the entire area, then continue cutting like it's supposed to. It's not the file, as I will send the same file again and it will work fine. It happens randomly when just cutting...

  17. Profile Question for use with Rolands

    I am wondering what color space other Roland users are using in their design programs? I use all Adobe products and have my set to Adobe RGB1998 for raster and US Web Coated SWOP v2 for vectors. Just happened to be thinking of it lately and curious if other settings my work better with Rolands...

    This is good for me to read as well as I have been considering these as well. Skinz definitely loves their GS6000, that's for sure. I wish Mutoh would use a 6 color setup.
  19. Does anyone else have this problem

    I have had this happen as well. I got it to go away with either rolling out the material or from adhesive on the media guide. For me it was usually needing to roll out the material so it wasn't coming off of a tight roll. It usually only happens with real light banner material for me though.
  20. Printing off track, Any tips?

    I use the media flanges on my VP540 and pull a couple feet through then just carefully wind it back up by turning one the media flange and it goes straight pretty much everytime.
