If you put the cleaning cartridge in the black ink slot, then just take the hose from under the cap, that correlates with the black head and hook up a syringe and suck the cleaning fluid through.
I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the CJV30 series printers? I am looking at trading a VP540 for a CJV30-130. My main objective is the highest print quality and since you can set this up as a 6 color printer, that is why I am considering trading. I just want to make sure that I don't...
That is good to know. I am just trying to decide if I want to drop the $ on profiling equipment right now. I do still plan on getting down to check out your shop one of these days.
I use all Adobe products with VersaWorks and have had very good luck with output and colors matching. If you decide to use VersaWorks, I have found that for me, the profile "PGVP" works the best for pretty much everything that I do.
I currently have a VP-540 and haven't had any problems printing a grey or grey gradient. I did see you other post about them coming out green. Even on the standard 720X720 they come out fine. I do use VersaWorks and tell it to just use the black ink which could help a lot.
I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone that makes media baskets or take up rolls for the VP-540. I don't feel like paying the price that Roland wants for theirs. I have seen the take-up roll from the place in Europe, but would prefer to buy something made in the USA if possible.
Thank You

This is interesting. You always see people advertise the DX4 for example to fix all mimaki and roland machines. The "off brand" places do anyways that I have seen.
I am considering getting a Xrite Eyeone to use to calibrate my Roland VP-540. I use Versaworks and I am just wondering if anyone has done this with VW and if it is worth the time and money? The one Xrite Eyeone that I looked at was $1449. If the results are worth it I would consider it.
For a tablet, it has to be Wacom. I would go with the medium Intous 4. If you can swing it, the ultimate setup is the Cintiq. I have the 12" version and absolutely love it. I will honestly say that I can't use a mouse for anything beside surfing the net and clicking though folders. Even using a...
