Not having used the software, but there should be some welding feature that will give you all the options you need. Even my old Cocut 9 Pro gives me welding by all colors or individually.

Obviously, Frutiger is a better choice, it is original, while Myriad and Segue and Frutus (URW) are all "Similar."

You can get Myriad for Free. If you have CS its there. Alternately, you may try Acrobat Reader and some fonts come with that. I think Myriad may be one of them. How about Segue as well?

Try saving as a PDF or EPS then reopen in Illy. Happens all the time, but when you need it to work it probably won't.
