  1. What are the results of too much or too little heat on Heat press?

Plus or minus 20 degrees is nothing to fret over. Although being plus is probably better than being minus. Just adjust the time a bit one way or the other if necessary. You have to really try to screw up heat pressing on cotton.
  2. Wet vs Dry Application

More properly; 'vinyl'. People with Cricuts make stickers. People with actual equipment in actual business do vinyl lettering and graphics. Moreover, those same Cricut wielding beings speak of 'a graphic' in a semi-literate attempt to turn an adjective into a noun. Knowing the nomenclature...
  3. cutting aluminum composite - dibond

If you cut it with a saw, panel, table, whatever, use a 60+ [more is better] tooth carbide blade. The biggest downside to cutting it with a saw is that it produces prodigious amounts of plastic sawdust that static-clings to anything and everything. Scoring and snapping is a decent way to cut...
  4. Mutoh 1204 Black Streaks

The picture of the problem looks very much like what happens when there is a piece of lint or something hanging off the print head. When you cleaned the carriage and around the head you dislodged whatever it was. This sometimes happens after printing on fabric type media like banner material or...
  5. Weird issues when printing fades and gradients

Pdf isn't a file format in the context in which you seem to use the word. A .pdf is far more a container for collections of objects in text, vector, and bitmap etc. formats. Eps files are much the same. The problem is that there are no objective standards for gradients, or transparencies for...
  6. End of year savings on Flexi Finishing Tools

This waste of code is something that might impress someone who has little to no experience. Anyone who has set more than a handful of grommets more than likely has some flavor of jig set up on their grommet press that holds the hemmed material as a constant distance from the edge and only...
  7. Vinyl doesn't seem sticky enough

Yes. Most vinyl can be easily removed with a fingernail immediately after it's applied. After a time, mostly depending on ambient temperature, it bonds much tighter than when first applied.
  8. Font list keeps closing

This happens when the Design Central dialog is in just the right position too close to the edge, top, or bottom of the screen. No need for rebooting, resetting, and other advanced paranoia. Just move the Design Central dialog a bit towards the screen center. Yet Another annoyance the the Great...
  9. canvas prints

One would think that VHB would have a hard time maintaining its integrity under the strain of stretched canvas. Assuming that you're stretching it properly. Whereas a staple will outlast the next ice age. Moreover, assuming an air stapler, you should be able to stretch and staple faster then you...
  10. Is education the answer?

"A witty saying proves nothing." Voltaire
  11. Is there a way to auto nest multiple objects inside one shape?

While it does export dxf files, they are far from excellent. Flexi often has difficulty dealing with arcs when exporting this format. It's been my experience that multi-point arcs tend to be somewhat less than smooth from point to point. Corel does a far better quality dxf file.
  12. Is there a way to auto nest multiple objects inside one shape?

Why? Because as far as I know, which may not be very far, Flexi drives vinyl cutters and engravers. If it does drive CNC machines then you have a point. Does it?
  13. Is there a way to auto nest multiple objects inside one shape?

Regardless of the above rationalization, this remains the most obscure feature yet encountered in a long and checkered life. If one were cutting sheets of gold or platinum or something perhaps worrying about this sort of thing might be productive. This is vinyl, by orders of magnitude the...
  14. Is there a way to auto nest multiple objects inside one shape?

This has to sweep the upcoming competitions for the most obscure feature ever implemented in a graphics package.
  15. Create Contour Cut

That big ole box is still the boundary of the bitmap regardless of transparency. But a contour cut applied to it will ignore the transparent pixels and just consider the visible pixels. Thus you contour just the image.
  16. Create Contour Cut

That would very much depend on just what software you're herding. In Flexi it's relatively simple. DO Bitmap->Tranparancy and select the white outside the image. You might have to mess with the tolerance to get it just right. Then select the transparent bitmap and do Effects->Contour Cut and...
  17. Are we green yet?

That, sport, is what's known as Pascal's Wager. Once and always a fallacy. If you have some actual science and not pseudo-scientific twaddle you can trot out you could easily convince others of your position. But you do not. Regardless, the point is not that my mind is or is not made up...
  18. Are we green yet?

Not argue with science? All science is is argument. From the statements above it would seem that your understanding of doing science is woefully primitive. The scientific method for the semi-literate: 1. Pose a predictive hypothesis. The hypothesis must predict some phenomenon or another...
  19. how do you convert fs, files to ve lxi file?

Import it instead of trying to open it.
  20. Removing decals from stainless steel?

Rapid Remover or generic orange peel solvent. Spray it on, let it sit for a minute or so, then use something like a Lil Chizzler to scrap it all up into a blob of the stickiest stuff this side of snot. Lift it off with a paper towel. Repeat if necessary. Then wipe any residue off with alcohol.
