One thing you should mention!!!!! When installing kraft faced insulation you should not see the studs after install so by using that background image he's showing improper installation.

I'm a firm believer that you should spend more on your laminator than your solvent or aqueous printer!!!!! We started with $14,000 gbc that got us by for little over a year and then upgraded to an really nice AGL. With the switch to AGL we dropped our redos because of something happening...
I did call epson a month or two ago and it is $4K for a year.
I have had a tech here twice to replace heads because of the green ink issue, have had the belt replaced too. Take up use to suck but when it's adjusted correctly and media is square and taped up correctly it does do a nice job...
100 PPI (not DPI) at 100% should work fine for most anything. If doing fine art I like to use at least 140 PPI. Really depends on how good the image is to start with, your rip, your printer and what your printing on.

The green ink issues should be fully paid for by Epson! For sure during the warranty period and I believe they should cover after original warranty as well as they know they have a green ink problem. We had the green ink clog up and had the tech in here to replace the head. He told me they're...
There are many brands and types to choose from. Lexjet has some very nice options and also carries name brand stuff. Adhesive back Polypropylene tends to be a little less money and may be a better choice depending on the application.

Printed two 61" x 30' panels on 63" wide 15oz banner stock overnight and it wound up perfectly!!!!!!! Our GS6000 now winds up better than our JV3s ever did!!!!! Highly recommend tweaking your take up pole to match your print platen, you'll be happy you did!!!!

I just finished printing a full (95%) roll of 150 foot long 13 oz banner and it wound up nearly perfect. Before it was adjusted I could have only done half a roll or a little less. I guess the tech actually did something useful!
Jim
Had a tech in here working on our GS6000 and I mentioned I didn't like the care for the take up because it rolled crooked and couldn't take more than half a roll. He adjusted the height on one side of the take up bar to make it more parallel with the print platen and it seems to be working much...
We print our banner stands on our Aqueous printer on a 5mil display film and then run a 5mil textured lam and 3 mil gloss low (both thermal) on the back. Makes a very durable graphic that's better than most out there!!! Call Bigdog Media Solutions and ask for Barrett.

I have a Ryobi cordless home tool set and have to say they're a great buy! I know they're not as nice as the top of the line stuff, but great bang for the buck!!!!!!

If your roller doesn't go down even you most like have a problem. With most lower priced laminators (below $20,000) the rollers are have a built in crown or bulge in the middle. So either the middle should touch first with each side coming down even, or the entire roller should touch at the...
Try testing the pressure on each side of the machine. Open up the rollers and place a 2 inch wide piece of banner or some scrap in each side of the machine. Make sure the piece is long enough to pull. With the rollers down at your normal setting pull on each piece and try and feel if your...
We've been running a GS6000 since early March and have not had that issue!
I love the printer!!! Only issue I have with it is the take up system and only run half a roll at a time because of it.
Jim
We had that problem a while back and called the manufacturer and was told to clean the gator with alcohol before mounting. Have had the problem since.
