  1. Golf Course Marker sign

PVC pole frame and banner with pole pockets is probably the best option. Most of the ready made signs for this are the PVC pole frames with nylon fabric with pole pockets. I d some a few years back with the 10mm coroplast and they worked out pretty well. jim
  2. Estimate vs. Cyrious???

I have looked pretty hard at both estimate and cyrious. If I was a one man show or with just a couple employees I would go with estimate. It looks like a great estimating tool, but pretty much only estimating. We are a 20 person company and will go with cyrious because it is also a full...
  3. Estimate vs. Cyrious???

Terry, We are in desperate need of software and have been waiting to we can afford Cyrious. We would always consider other options if we feel they will meet our needs. However, when I see the owner of a company with a major attitude toward there customer base I think I would have a hard...
  4. Printing on reflective help

I use are vehicle vinyl profile and usually double pass it. Some colors may need to be modified, I may set up red at 80M 75Y instead of 100M 95Y. Single pass is usually too weak and double at full color is too much. Jim
  5. Epson Stylus Pro 11880 for vinyl, banners etc?

Aqueous banner material is very expensive, but usually smoother than solvent banner. It can be laminated. Also have tyvek banner option that laminates great, prints great, and is pretty darn strong. That said, not the best option for printing an outdoor banner.
  6. PRICE range question

We have a JV3 SP 160 for sale, $8000 and it's yours! You pick up or pay for shipping.
  7. Laminates

Will you be doing this with PSA lam or Hot lam? We produce these graphics on our aqueous printer with hot lam using a 5 mil lam, a 10 mil backer and a 5 mil display film that its printed on. Works out to be a great product and Lexjet has similar PSA products for doing this as well. If on...
  8. Epson Stylus Pro 11880 for vinyl, banners etc?

We have an 11880 and I have been using Epson Aqueous for 7 years. Great printer! Anything they do would cost much more than producing it on a solvent machine. Banner is way more, inks cost more and they should be laminating it. All in all I love our 11880, but print all our outdoor stuff...

If you can't find a stock photo let me know what kind of price you get on hiring a photographer. I may be able to shoot it for you and save you some money. I can provide RGB images up to 60 megabytes that should work fine for a box truck. Jim
  10. Photo Zoom Pro 3

I agree, you can do every bit as good in photoshop! Tested many enlargement software brands and was not really impressed with any of them. jim
  11. Lighted sign question...

Much of it will depend on the type of light and how bright it is. Jim
  12. Need the best solution for blowing up pictures

In the past I have test photozoom and genuine fractals and did not see any better results than what I could do myself in photoshop. It did save a little time, but wasn't enough time to buy the software. jim
  13. File is damaged and cannot open?

When I have a lot of time into working a file I try to always have it saved on two different drives for this reason. Like in most other cases when you do this you never have a problem, but if you don't save it you'll lose it. Jim
  14. Need the best solution for blowing up pictures

Photoshop works as good as any software I have tested! Some of the various software will save you time, but the results I've seen are not any better than doing it yourself in photoshop. You need to do it a small amount at a time, say 15-20% at a time and just keep going till you get the size...
  15. File is damaged and cannot open?

Open up your other saved copy of it because this one is junk!!!! Sorry, seen this before and never have gotten one open. Jim
  16. JV3 160 SPII Quality issues

I have the same issues also, but it really depends on the media and humidity levels too. I can never get rid of the saturation banding on 3m 180C-10, but have very little to no problems with Oracal 3951 RA. I print only Uni on the JV3. jim
  17. What res. do you print at?

On our JV3 with the EFI Colorproof rip I print at 720 x 720 Uni in 4 or 8 pass depeding on job and media. jim
  18. JV3 160 SPII Quality issues

What kind of media is that your printing on? Do you know the humidity level of your room? jim
  19. laminator

We started with a GBC 1264 and it has been sitting idle since we upgraded to a AGL 64i. There are many decent machines if all your doing is cold laminating, but if you want to run hot lams do not go cheap, I repeat, do not go cheap!!!!!! What you buy should really depend on what you plan on...
