PPrint I've been there done that with 3rd party ink. Everything was great until it wasn't then the ink vendor was full of nothing but excuses and bullsh#t. Complete ink train was flushed, heads fixed and back running with OEM ink. Haven't had an ink related issue since. Imagine that.

May want to try a metal supply house. One local to me carries powder coated sheets for stock car bodies. Or get in contact with C-Tech. They just added a massive powder coating line. https://www.ctechmanufacturing.com/ I know the owner. Good guy that won't B.S you. Could call these folks...

I agree with 2B in regards to finding a local company. I have custom blanks laser cut by a local fab shop. I just send them a DXF file and they call me when they're ready. If needed there is also a powder coat shop in my area. If clients are wanting odd shapes in small quantities that's...

IG(insualted glass) panels are touchy. There are actual formulas that tinters use to calculate the correct shade(darkness). Same goes for single pane. A school not far from me experienced this first hand. They turned down my friends bid because the tint wasn't dark enough in their opinion...

We had one in our lab at school that quit working. Tech said don't bother. No longer supported and wouldn't be worth it even if parts were available. It got replaced with a new Mimaki.

Dig into the Roland specs then do some math. I did just that when Roland released their latest series of plotters. That's why I bought another Summa.

You may not be far off. HP Indigo Digital Presses have a "click charge" that covers ink, consumables and maintenance. In simple terms one click is one color. 4/0 job would be 4 clicks per press sheet. 4/4 would be eight clicks per press sheet. It is my understanding there is some flexibility...

Lotsa reasons starting with it's a one time thing. In those situations I let the experts with material in stock handle it. Feller's sells by the yard. Okay. You still have to order, print, laminate and contour cut. Any one of these can go sideways meaning you get to do it all over again...

Sub it out. Not worth buying specific use materials then have them rot in a corner.
