LOL! I was told I get 20 seconds. If the story has no point or direction in 20 seconds, he's probably just looking at me to be nice and not listening to a word. Sometimes I say..."OK, this is a good one, but it's gonna be more than 20 seconds so LISTEN UP!" :D
LOL! She never asked me for a price but she's renting the spot out and has done all her business with me in the past and has been happy with my work so I think she pushed to have me do it. I'm probably cheaper too but I can't imagine it's by too much.
Update. Customer talked to the owner, they are OK with me doing the job. They wanted her to use their sign guy, as I suspected, which is a large sign shop in a nearby town. I do like the fact they are going local since they are a new business in the community, it's always good to give the local...
I agree with his idea of adding the red - I don't see how that would hurt anything. I do NOT agree with adding blue. I'm not a fan of red, white and blue unless it's something to do with an American theme. I would not worry about getting "caught" that's the agents problem.
I just sent over my certificate of insurance and asked if there was as specific concern I could address...my thought is they are trying to push her to use their sign guy.
I would love to apply trans cut vinyl but I have not been able to find pale teal which is in her logo. I had it printed and contour cut last time. I'm up for suggestions!
I have a lighted sign to letter. It's like 18"x6' I don't need a step ladder. A customer is asking me - for the owner of the sign - what my application process is so they can approve it. I'm not sure how to answer that question? Are they concerned I will remove the face or do they not want me...
Don't hem and haw and just agree to it, manipulate the situation in your favor - never squander an opportunity to provide exceptional service. This might sound a little "Robert-ish" but it has worked for me in the past...
1. Typically, we would charge xxx for changes like this so late in the...
My Friday night was under the lights...at the high school football game! And we won for homecoming! I was very excited because my sophomore son was put in at defense end after an injury and did a great job! It's been a crazy year, no JV games because we barely have enough for varsity due to kids...
Robert, some of the worst first time cheap/Ahole/otherwise customers who walk in the door and leave, come back and become customers BECAUSE you put your foot down the first time.
A couple months ago I put my foot down with a customer requesting a ridiculous amount of pricing options for 50 can...
Sometimes when I'm crabby because I have actual customers who are willing to pay my already reasonable prices I say, "I'm sure you know someone with a Cricket, they can likely do it cheaper."
I'm already bogged down with work, no patience for cheap jerks, "Ain't nobody got time for dat!"
I totally agree with this. You bring up a good point. Does the OP know which shop did the wrap? Do they do a lot of wraps and are they reputable? If they are then I would definitely tell the customer to go back, I'm sure they will fix it. If it's a shop that doesn't do many wraps then they...
I would tell him it could be a little better but it isn't bad. The bubbles will go away, the wrinkles might mostly go away also. Don't set yourself up for this guy to bring his next truck to you and expect 100% perfection. Yikes.
Just curious how others have created a pricing structure for creating estimates/invoices. There seems to be a couple ways to do it. One is a per print rate with a set cost of the apparel item. The other is a basic rate for tshirts, hoodies, etc then adding an upcharge for more expensive items. I...
I agree with Netsol, it's a matter of risk taking. If I get it because I'm being 'reckless' like Trump supposedly is, then so be it. It's a risk I'm willing to take. Sitting home being depressed and scared isn't for me.
Not wearing my seatbelt in the car with my son who just got his temps is...
It does look almost "fun" so I'm glad to have the opportunity to try this!
I keep all these great links and copy and paste things when I see good advice or try things and I fail/succeed in my OneNote under "Tips and Tricks". Now I have a page for Dimensional Letters!
