  1. Vinyl for small desktop inkjets

If you're just doing occasional small decals could you not just cut them by hand with a knife? A couple of clear coats with Frog Juice should protect them outdoors. Ken
  2. Prototype Squeegee Opinion Poll

I do sometimes use the inch scale on my squeegee to line up lines of text and would really like to have it in finer increments than 1/4 inch. So I think a real measuring tool, say down to 1/8 inch would be good. An interchangeable felt/plastic edge would be great also. I think I could do...

  4. wanting to be a wrapper but don’t know the words!

Welcome also G.H. I would take the time to learn the software first before putting out bucks for the hardware. Photoshop is a huge program and integrating it into your print/cut flow will be quite a task. The harware will likely come down in price while you are learning to work the software. To...

  6. Think customer-provided files are scary now??? Just wait...

Yes, I did forget .eps for the short list...thanks. Educating the clients is the hard part...and why do they need to know our business methods?. I want a sign..it kinda looks like this... perhaps this is the mystique that keeps us going..but as familiarity with formats increases , therefore the...
  7. Think customer-provided files are scary now??? Just wait...

Well, whining will not get us anywhere. We try to be all-things to all people ( formats)..so what is the solution? I would suggest a limited number of formats that we readily use. If the artwork is not supplied in this format then the client MUST expect to pay extra for conversion/re-creation...
  8. dont kno what to get!-

I started with a Stika 12 machine, and was pretty impressed by what that little machine could do. I still have it and will one day use it as a mobile cutter paired with a laptop. Highly portable.(transportable) I was able to cut directly from Corel 8 with it. But now you can buy a decent 24 inch...
  9. US Cutters, Good, Bad or Ugly?

Yep, and the biggest plunge in the stock market since 9-11 wasn't caused by China. But, Roger..you are happy with Roland machines..why not stick with that? Ken

  18. Do you hold Merchant Members to a higher standard?

OK Replicator - your new avatar is scaring me..yikes. On topic..I do think that a vendor (MM) on these forums should treat us as customers in their store. BUt where do you get 50 people standing around listenening to a conversation between the salesperson/customer? - On forums like this. It is...
