  1. Corel Gurus

One way to do it is to setup it up as a pattern and then apply the pattern to the letters. Make sure you design it on the far left and right sides of the pattern fill screens leaving a gap in the middle. Alternatively you can make your design and then drop it in as a powerclip. Also texture...
  2. First time with real gold

Was it gold leaf vinyl or a liquid?
  3. Engineering drawings for permit?

Yeah those are normal permit things except yours they break it down into sections. I love how the intake is called BS, because that is what it is! Building is only needed when the structure is compromised aka engineering.
  4. Engineering drawings for permit?

Zoning, Building and Architecture are all required for VHB? Sounds like they need to take a course in signs or else we have it really easy in VA. I know in some places that a permit is required for faces, refacing, etc. However it doesn't require full engineering plans for a permit of that nature.
  5. Oracal Issues

3551 is not a cast vinyl and shouldn't be used for vehicle wraps. Stick with the best cast.
  6. Engineering drawings for permit?

The permit office has the wrong idea. I've been asked once or twice before and they thought I was doing construction to the building. We sign makers aren't in the construction trade. Usually engineering drawing means the mounting and specs of the sign. How the sign will be mounted, the hardware...
  7. Printer Disposal

I would gladly take the Roland. But how would I end up getting to you?
  8. Shooting this morning

U.S. Marshalls caught him in another state and are transporting him back here. He is finally arrested.
  9. Shooting this morning

A bullet went through my building just above a window and hit a wall and ceiling tile inside and the bullet was laying on the floor. Had the detectives there this afternoon doing photos, measurements and trajectory projection.
  10. Shooting this morning

There was a shooting in my shop parking lot this morning at around 4:00am. One guy was killed. Still waiting on more details, luckily no buildings or my bucket truck were damaged.
  11. Backlit Panels

Sadly I don't have a white ink printer yet, only a CMYK. However that is next on my list.
  12. Logojet any information

Anyone know anything about these Logojets? http://www.logojet.com/LogoJET-UVx90FLEX-Description-p/ljuvx90flex.htm
  13. Backlit Panels

I've always been told to do a overprint for all translucent printed vinyl (printed twice), that will keep the colors and not wash out.
  14. Fellers is too Funny.

I agree, I own almost every color of Oracal 651 24" they make. But the White/Black I use up like there is no tomorrow. I generally order 24" X 10 yds or 24" X 20 yds.
  15. Fellers is too Funny.

    Grimco now sells Oracal.
  16. lanham act

I am very familiar with the lanham act and it's more pointed to the direction that no State, Government or Local entity can alter or change a copyright logo or trademark. Having cupcake in the name isn't a violation, they are hoping they will back down to get rid of competition. There is...
  17. Fellers is too Funny.

The sales reps can bring the price down 10 - 20%. I pay way less than catalog pricing for my stuff from Fellers.
  18. Flat rigid substrate 6.5' x 14'

Acrylic and Polycarbonate come that large. The aluminum I think maxes at 6' X 10' at least for our supplier.
  19. Credit card processing fees

    Annoying as crap much?
  20. Credit card processing fees

Very high processing fee and bad sense of business. Either you he is cheating the customer or you are losing on money. I would quit and go somewhere else, all of the anger is going to fall back on you if you are taking the payments.
