  1. Chrome wrap... it may be real this time...

Looks cool in theory, but unless you have a lot of drug dealers or rap singers in your area, I can't see why anyone would want this!

  6. Another One Of "THOSE" Questions

To answer your question, yes you can print/cut the heat transfer material. However, you are going to hate the process after the first 20 or so, the material doesn't weed great, especially if there is text. Like someone said, for 600 pcs, you can't touch the price of screenprinting. Where heat...
  7. Reducing Inventory?

with most suppliers in the US offering free shipping and next day delivery, I really don't see the need to carry more than 1 roll of each in stock. In regards to your vinyl choices, I think you are missing a cheap down and dirty vinyl for doing things like golf signs and coroplast signs, 3651RA...
  8. Renaming Business - Soliciting opinions on direction.

I think sometimes you can go too far the other way, using terms like "creative" "unlimited" etc. in your business name usually tells people exactly nothing about what you do. I understand not wanting to be limited, but being vague is not the way to do it.
  9. "Fathead" material Choices

phototex is great, it is slightly translucent though. We've had great luck with avery 2611 wall film.
  10. local sign shops want me to wrap vehicles

We do work for other sign shops as well, it's not an issue. Think of it this way, if you both bid on a wrap job and you loose to the other shop, but they have you install it, you are at least getting part of the pie.
  11. Do you have a dog in your shop?

meh, non-dog people wouldn't get it, it's like people who don't have kids get wierded out when they see parents picking their kids boogers off their faces, it's not something you think about, sometimes the dog licks you on the face, you live to see another day.
  12. Oracal 651 problems

i'm with Jill, only issue i've had is with 15" rolls, the last 5 yards or so stick together when going through our edge, it's never caused an issue though. 651 is my go to intermediate vinyl, never had an issue with it.

  14. Do you have a dog in your shop?

  15. Do you have a dog in your shop?

My dog comes to work with me every day, I wouldn't have it any other way. Luckily he doesn't shed much (American Cocker Spaniel)
  16. Corel X6 Contour Docker

Yes I feel you! We upgraded to x6 when it came out, but we have since reverted to x4 due to many issues, this being one of them. We have a client that we do laser cutting for and we apply a inside 0.01" contour on every one of his files, having to type in the contour amount every time got very...
  17. Durability of Thermal Resin prints

This is true, I think it's a bit unreasonable to expect a vinyl decal to stand up to MEK, it's like asking a contractor to build you a house that will withstand an atomic bomb.
  18. Screw you 3M.

We just finished our first job with the 3651RA, the stuff is really nice to work with! The air release seems to be much better on this vs. other intermediate air release vinyls we've delt with.
  19. Durability of Thermal Resin prints

I'll echo what Fred said, Mild solvents are fine, harsh solvents, no chance.
  20. Versaworks Trim line?

it doesn't make a solid line, it creates corner marks in 4 corners and makes a small dash every 2 feet or so along the length of the banner
