You guys try it and tell me what you think. Try it on glossy media with a solid fill at least 12" x 54" I can get accurate color but the banding with 377 C has me puzzled. I don't see much banding this with most other colors.

600dpi setting only showing at higher 10+ pass must be limitation of your RIP. I can do 600pdi at 8pass and above.

Are you waking the printer up from a network connection of from the front panel?

After today I have had it with Ultaflex junk. Printed 20 2-sided banners, on brand new roll of 18 oz Blockout LTX, printed side A (rougher side) it printed fine. Started printing Side B and found random plasticizer come out and make the prints look terrible. I will not use Ultrflexx even again...

Tried another banner material that was showing some sticking to the drying platen. I noticed that the vacuum was set too high in the printing platen area. When I lowered the vacuum I also noticed this made a effect in the drying platen area. Seems like there is vacuum being applied to the drying...

Hay thanks for the profile. To eliminate the possibility of Media being overwritten I have to ask what Media Name does your profile use? Also is 100% Ink Density good enough for you with 6 pass?

There is an onboard test you can do in setting for Latex Optimizer values. In my testing on vinyl getting up to about 24% seemed help in getting a smooth edge with less bleed or dot gain (what ever you want to call it) in edges. Just be aware that the Latex Optimizer is figured into the ink density.

I know Onyx is a PITA, so I would call them and make them walk you through it. They owe you some training also, don't they.

Doing a head alignment might be another thing to try.

I think the heavy ink coverage has a lot to do with it. Printed it before with the same setting and light ink coverage and did not have this kind of sticking. I will have to try lower heat and more pass for heavy coverage.

Are you talking about the "Color variation and text-lines sharpness correction" setting?

I should have mentioned that I did try that. I think the sticking was even worse with the foam pads.

Anybody using this on the L360? I am really struggling with this sticking to the drying platen when printing the second side if there is heavy coverage on the first side. I guess I will have to try higher passes and lower heat. Any other double sided 18oz that works good in the L300 series...

Have you ruled out media?

Don't forget about the Optimizer setting you will get a rougher edge if it is set too low.
