Hi I am not sure if your issues got solved, as for the color shifting, it looks like the encoder cable problem - or may be a ripping problem - did you try a low res rip? as for your second problem, it has got to do with the media sensor sensitivity, does it happen with backlit flex or with all...

Did you try checking the e-stop switches? if that is fine, there must be something wrong with your power board or the way you have connected it. check the servo connector and the servo breakers.

Hi Gabriel, thanks for all the help. all my machines, mutoh, mimaki and roland are all busy and working well. though they throw up a couple of errors - esp roland - at times, a reboot would solve that. we keep the machines busy to avoid any kind of downtime. thankfully there is enough job.

Looks like the problem was in the head itself. i got a new head fitted it and did my first print today, it's working fine, no errors. I have asked the supplier to check the faulty head out. it was difficult to insert one of the cables into the head socket when the head arrived.:thankyou:
