I'd be looking at a true flatbed over a hybrid for starters. Mimaki and Oce come to mind. There swissQ but they're more expensive and not needed for what you're doing. Mimaki is probably the cheapest.

Just keep note that if you ever ask oce/canon go to back on a service contract and you're using 3rd party inks. They will not touch your machine. But still, That's stupid. No luck on google search?

I dont see the issue about refunding them. tried speaking to someone else over the phone? if it says it on the invoice, then they have to restock it.

Did you order the wrong ones or they made the mistake? If they made the error, they should be refunding you and sending you the right ones.. I've had wrong ink sent to me before. They collected it and restocked it. sent me the right ones.

Purchase a RIP that will control both printers with 1 software. For example Onyx. Do you really need a RIP software to run large format prints?

I think production house and thrive are virtually the same except the RIP engine and that thrive you can use on other servers. But send onyx an email, they're quite helpful.
