  1. UV Printing on Mirror Tint

You can only try. The uv light should not reflect onto the print heads unless your heights are wrong. I'd be using low lamp heat/intensity also. UV flatbed? or roll? it does help knowing what printer you're using.
  2. Suggestions Leaving for a few days. Have some questions about shut down

no exp with those printers. I know UV printers need maintenance ect, Throw some crappy paper or vinyl on it and get someone to run a test print each day? a CMYK flood. 1000mm wide and 100-300mm tall.
  3. New Océ Colorado 1640

I believe they well. In the matter of a few years, they've released a few different inks for the Oce arizona. depending on application. But as i've been told, it's not designed towards the graphic wrapping industry. If you believe it wont work, or have tried with a sample ect. You should...
  4. Need Help Can anyone help with a WIFI issue?

unfortunately that's not the issue. So when i go wifi, asks if i want "spectropad to WLAN or PC to spectropad" so i choose spectropad to WLAN. I find my wifi name. enter password. and i get either "no suitable AP found" or sometimes it connects to the IP address on the spectropad (not the same...

  6. Need Help Can anyone help with a WIFI issue?

A while ago i had to change routers as my old one dies. I use to use some basic one i got from my internet provider. I got a linksys router. All seems fine, doesn't drop out. i can connect every device to it except my Barbiei SpectroPad as it works over WIFI (or cable) Anyway i need to get it...
  7. New Océ Colorado 1640

curious to see how it performs in a normal shop though. It would be a nice addition. But like i said, until they release another version, preferably wider like 3000mm i'd look at getting one.
  8. New Océ Colorado 1640

If you're applying fleet graphics on a, lets say truck or a van. why is there a need to stretch? It's a flat surface.
  9. New Océ Colorado 1640

Ok i was at PacPrint also. As some know, i am very close with most of the guys from canon.. Well Oce. I got the full run down on the Colorado, saw it in action and all. It is not "another uv printer" as you'd believe it is. The gel technology is quite amazing i must admit. It puts any roll...
  10. Software Help Onyx 12 Postershop QuickSet Help

Strange issue. Never happened to me. try turning the printer connection off by pressing the green on/off button on the right hand side of the RIP. It'll go red when off.
  11. Adjusting the density

Not sure, no exp with raster link. Do a search, pretty sure this was covered not long ago.
  12. Adjusting the density

more passes - higher resolution. doesn't mean more density. You can make a higher density print inside the rip. depending on your rip.
  13. researching Flatbed printers,

Sorry i've muddled something up. I've mixed the names up. The 2280 series is comparable to Oryx, they're in the same price range and same speeds. Oce does not have a comparable printer for the impala. the 6100 series is comparable to the nyala. But having said that. The oce does not slow down...
  14. How to double strike

Precisely. You cannot make the colour more dense and retain the same colour.
  15. How to double strike

Printer will probably just restrict the ink and use a smaller picolitre drop on higher passes.
  16. researching Flatbed printers,

I have an Oce 480XT. 3m x 2.5m bed. You'd compare this to the Oryx2 as it has 1 row of heads, not 2 like the rest. The 680xt or the 2200 series(replacement for the 600) is what you'd compare to the impala. I have reasons why i wanted the 400 series over the 600. More of a quality thing, not...
  17. researching Flatbed printers,

SwissQ are good quality printers. But the fact that the roll media goes right over the flatbed is a big no-no for me. time consuming to switch over from board to roll. Also the sizes are not practice. 2 x 2.5m or the larger 2 x 3.2m. The gantry on the larger one prints on the long 3.2m axis...
  18. researching Flatbed printers,

Yeah i dont think my answer will change from thread to thread either.
  19. Speaking of stupid...... here's a stupid one......................

Made new business cards. Printed out proofs so we all could approve and check for errors. Everyone seemed happy. got the OK. sent off the files. got the cards back. Phone number is wrong. i checked my proofs. number is wrong. Not 1 person noticed the number was wrong, including me. That was an...
  20. Suggestions UV Printing

I have a Oce Arizona 480XT. It has 8 print heads. each print head is actually 2 print heads so technically there's 16. The older ones had single heads. There are faster ones out there like the 660 or the new 2280. they both have 16 double print heads (so 32) but it's 2 rows. I wanted the 660...
