  1. Roland service bullitin - Cap Tops (consumable)

Good idea Tech. The nice thing about cleaning is that it's automatic.
  2. Roland service bullitin - Cap Tops (consumable)

Cap tops, wipers, dampers, pumps, heads, encoder strips, teflon strips, blades, and knives are all consumable parts. Some more than others, but you will go through them regularly. Cap tops tend to go bad when they're not cleaned properly, especially under light usage. Printers are made to...
  3. Head Crash ??

You don't.. buy the reel. :) We used to a LONG time ago tape the vinyl to a rolling chair, and roll it farther and farther from the printer. What a PITA that was!
  4. SAI is GREEDY

If he's looking at having to buy three copies at $4500 each, he should take the insurance money and buy one copy of Onyx or Caldera. Either of these RIPs will run multiple printers.
  5. Head Crash ??

We routinely print 150' and 164' rolls without issues on our Pro III's. Had a 30" Versacamm awhile back, and never had any issues with that either. When you're getting head strikes, what exactly is happening? Is the media buckling in the middle? Is it getting off-track and buckling from...
  6. Roland revolutionary new wide-format inkjet printer?

I just spoke to our dealer, and they called Roland. As far as they know, the only things being announced are the LEC UV machine was made faster by about 3 times, and there were some changes made to the VersaCamm line. Nothing revolutionary, at least not that they're speaking about. :)...
  7. Vintage 1990 WR250 Dirt Bike????????

That's exactly what I was thinking! Lol.. Sorry, no help.
  8. To All of the Signs101 Family

    Unbelievably sad.
  9. Roland revolutionary new wide-format inkjet printer?

Their 30" UV machine currently domes using a clear that it can layer on top of the print. It's pretty sweet, but SUPER, SUPER slow. HP's latex printer is very nice. It's all about sustainability.
  10. reading files

    +1 for Adobe Bridge.
  11. Hello from Downtown L.A

    Welcome from Phoenix!
  12. Roland SP300 print question

We use Triangle inks now, but never had that problem even using the older (Pre-Max) Roland inks. Are you just wiping it, or are you scrubbing the print?
  13. work table tops

Actually, we don't have any issues with blades dulling on the glass. We have formica table tops at our other shop, and that dulled the blades like crazy.
  14. ATV Wrap and material~ Issues with durabilty

You'll want to use Convex material. ATV Wraps are a pain..
  15. work table tops

We've got a 6'x20' table with glass on top, with a banner underneath printed with 1" and 12" grids. Also, an additional 4'x8' with glass and grid that'll roll up next to the big one if needed. I'm going to post pics of our shop today or tomorrow after the cleaning crew comes in. :)
  16. Roland Printers?

A lot of times dealer refurbished units will come with a warranty, usually like six months.
  17. Finding and getting Rights to Copyrighted Material?

The "profitable" logos you refer to will turn out to not be profitable, really. You can make and sell them for $5 a piece, or you can letter a truck for $250. Concentrate on businesses and you'll make money.

  19. Where did Sarge go?

Joe, I think the majority of us here deal with this very situation daily.
