If its an older boat we make the client get it acid washed by a detailer before wrapping. Most real detailers are familiar with this process and will wash after. Comes to you nice and ready for isopropanol :)

Use 3951 profile. It's real close to the surface area of 3751. You can rename the .rml files to .xml and edit the profiles yourself if you understand them... Just rename back to .rml when finished.

Just email Oracal. They have excellent support and stand by the product 100%. Send photos, the lot # for lam and material and you will usually get a response within a day if not the same day. I've never seen matte shrink that much to be honest. Make sure that your laminator isn't over...

Definitely want something that's great for long term outdoors. I think a solvent or latex might be best, although for sakes of 100% consistent color consistency I might lean to sticking with solvent. I've found with my Roland I can print a file today- install it, leave it 3 years and come back...

I would say so. My Roland overprints great on backlit or adhesive backlit materials. I also overprint once on all perfs. Lam always prints blotchy. Stick to clear vinyl.

Dang Chris! Good find! Great price too. Odd to see a printer with 3 black cartridges. Did you see the GS6000 live? It's got a orange and green cartridge. I bet you can hit some fluorescents with that thing.

Any large format printers in the 54-60" range support 12 colors like some of these photo printers do? Been doing some high end work and would love to offer the extra gamut to my clients.

We use it exclusively now on our XC-540 and it prints clearer them any material on the market :in my opinion and testing: The brightness of the white makes for ultra vibrant prints and super glossy with 290g on top.
