I use geek wraps suede side and keep the squeegee wet for chrome. What fine scratches it leaves come off with a quick wax. I did the camaro chrome dry with this technique.
Can I reiterate? What is the point of perf cutting through the back side? Wasting time?
I run stickers with contour cut + perf cut in the same run on laminated stickers all day long. Take the sheet over a box, shake it and all the stickers fall right off.

I use perf cut and it's good. Just test cut to find the sweet spot, use 60 degree blades, then configure advanced perf cut numbers you tested. Boom.. No messed up cut strips and perfect cuts. The 60 degree blade is the key plus test.
Ran thousands of these things.
Before you print that next test.. Take each ink cartridge out and wave them lightly to mix them up a little but. Don't get crazy or you'll make bubbles. But just enough.

I use font agent pro for font management. It loads any LHF fonts fine and saves tremendously on your system resources!!

Don't care what ANYONE says. Print ANY red and get it up by a nice red car and look how you thought that pretty red is now muddy red.
This will never change... Or, you buy yourself an 8 color large format with orange and red.
