  1. non sign related legal advice needed.

I have a call into my lawyer, unfortunately she is out of town this week. My problem is nothing pressing, although Im furious over what has transpired in the last couple days. (Surely we have a lawyer in our group, that does signs as his part time job :ROFLMAO:) To condense this into a short...
  2. silicone or construction adhesive, which is better?

What can I say.....he's a 23 year old accident waiting to happen. It wasn't my idea, and he did catch hell. No excuse, but he did have ahold of the straps attached to the awning. And I didn't laugh until later.
  3. I had a good answer for a client yesterday...

a "To The Trade" customer? I'm guessing it was a retail customer, if you had to explain materials. That gets old....educating the general public on the "why they should go with you".
  4. B2Sign.com?

Mike, there is absolutely no "Wholesale Only" printing companies. Those who say there are, are only attempting to appease the majority of viewers typically found on a sign forum. In my 20+ years in this business, I have found only ONE "wholesale only" company that services the sign industry...
  5. Guess I missed the memo.....................

my understanding is they just changed the name. I got an email (on Oracal's mailing list) about the change, although I briefly scanned over it. That was only about a week or two ago.
  6. insurance for installs, who do you use?

We carry 3m in liability insurance. In case some don't realize, your insurance does not cover the sign itself. We have a "rider" (supplement?) that covers our sign.
  7. First Made-in-America Smartphone

Id be interested in how they do. I just got a "Galaxy S4" yesterday. The Moto x seems to be about the same size.
  8. Signs365 went above and beyond.

yeah the whole thread is as FOOLish as it gets.....so mind as well make the most of it. Butto, please don't make me post your "whacked out", insane PM's that you were sending me again. Last time, you disappeared for about 2 weeks (out of embarrassment, I'm guessing). I may be a fool, but I'd...

na nah nah.....*sticking tongue out* :Big Laugh you tell him Uncle Fred.
  10. Signs365 went above and beyond.

i stopped at the YMCA this morning for an early morning workout and then a swim. They said i wasnt a member and couldnt use the facilities. I explained that i USED to be a member.......i asked the guy at the counter: DOESNT THAT COUNT FOR ANYTHING:? Wow here too.
  11. Wife and kids are away

Always best with a story behind the tattoo's. :thumb: Glad to see you have a sense of humor SC. (dan on the other hand, seems to have a board up his butt......although I did chuckle over his "lots of before pics, and none of the after" comment). Congrats on the weight loss, and sticking with...
  12. Wife and kids are away

Transformers? Really? The wife would be happier if you would clean the house. Start with the mirror.
  13. Recent nice banner we did for a happy client!

    Glad to hear that. LOL
  14. silicone or construction adhesive, which is better?

I'm a firm believer in Silicone!!! A quick story..... We were un-installing an awning at a local restaurant. Awning was up for about 5 years. When we had all fasteners removed, we still had a hard time removing the awning, as they had run a bead of silicone along the top edge. One guy...
  15. Recent nice banner we did for a happy client!

Nice truck. Nice print! Thats a lot of fastener, and some unattractive wrinkles. While it acceptable, I wouldn't be happy with it that way. The customer was extremely happy, and thats all that counts. Sorry, don't mean to sound like I'm bashing. I've heard nothing but great things from your...
  16. Signs365 went above and beyond.

Misled? Knock Them? Do you have a hard time understanding what you read, or are you intentionally being confrontational? I believe he said....EQUALLY good, or better. Doesn't sound like a "diss" to me. This is Fred's "sign shop" (or part of it). Now imagine if this conversation was taking...
  17. Fixing sign panels to marble?

THATS when you use a "whole load" of VHB. :Big Laugh How about using your brushed metal panel, along with some cut out acrylic letters on top. Too many scenarios of possible material choices. One thing I will say.....if its too heavy for VHB and silicone, then I wouldn't be hanging it on the...
  18. Fixing sign panels to marble?

a "whole load" of VHB shouldn't be necessary. That is the way I would go. The marble looks to be glassy smooth, so you should have fantastic adhesion. (I wouldn't skimp, but I don't know what you call a "load") Anything metal or acrylic, attached to the smooth marble would be my preferred...
  19. Oldest traffic, parking, and street sign manufacturer in Florida

Welcome aboard. Tell Sharon I said hi.
  20. Need large 3d Tooth made. GTA, Ontario.

Someone here posted a big tooth they made, but I can't find that post (I tried). Perhaps Charlie (rogueroller) can help you in the right direction. A big block of foam, and some styrospray..... A tooth can't be too difficult to cut out.
