  1. Vinyl on a curve.

These are nothing like what you have in mind. These are very smooth & have an automotive looking finish.
  2. Vinyl on a curve.

Hi Pat..... The installation wasn't my concern. It was the longevity, and the shrinking of the intermediate vinyl on the curved surface, causing premature failure. (I only need these to last for 3-4 years) I apologize, as I didn't explain myself very well.
  3. tow behind boom lift

About 10 years ago, I had the chance to buy a genie (if memory serves me) at a local auction. It sold for $1,000. At the time, I didn't know much about them. Today, I wish I had picked it up. I still like my trucks. Every once in a while you hear about a truck tipping over.....having said...
  4. Vinyl on a curve.

I apologize for this noob question. I'll blame it on an extreme lack of sleep the last couple weeks. I seem to be questioning everything I do. Here goes..... We have been asked to "provide" decals for a local silo manufacturer. As for longevity, the intermediate vinyl is what I would like to...
  5. Renaissance Festival sign

    very nice indeed!!
  6. detroit police cars using copyrighted image?

Are you serious? The skyline may be public domain, but HIS photo is not. If it were that simple, why didn't they send the secretary out with a polariod , to capture the shot? Thats like saying someone could steal your sign layout, and rationalize it by saying, YOU do not own the alphabet. He...
  7. Sign company put road sign in front of my shop !

If I were a customer, I'd assume $5 each when you purchase 50. You should have kept it more realistic, and simply cut his prices in half ($95) fail.
  8. For those of you who spend time on construction sites...

:thumb: A side note..... I really didn't realize how many safety products we've purchased over the years until filling out their form. Perhaps it the "sign industry" itself, being so diverse, that mandates the use of such a wide variety of safety equipment. Running the CNC..... eye and ear...

Thank You Fred. That is indeed the correct logo. (you never cease to amaze me) Pat, thanks for taking the time to help (or attempt to help)))). 2 friends and trusted sources!!!! Thanks Guys!!!! HDvinyl......if you have extra time to stir the pot, perhaps you should clean the shop...

I graciously accept advice from everyone.....as long as its offered in the spirit of "goodwill" or friendship towards a fellow sign professional.....and most important, from a trusted source.
  11. *Man.p.o.w.e.r* Logo needed.

LOL......no thanks. Besides, John really doesn't have what I need. His goal is to make YOU, and anyone else reading this thread think the matter is closed. strange.....but true.
  12. *Man.p.o.w.e.r* Logo needed.

John, Taking into account the unwarranted & volatile attitude you have shown towards me in the past, I would not accept any assistance from you. Although I hold no hard feelings towards you, I would prefer if you would not offer any assistance (advice or comments) where I am concerned. Help...
  13. *Man.p.o.w.e.r* Logo needed.

Has anyone done any signs for man*power, that wouldn't mind sharing (along with the 5 pms colors used in their logo)? They opened a local office, and their business manager is of little to no help whatsoever. We also attempted to contact their main office, but that has been a lesson in...
  14. Day/night back lit sign

And you simply reverse weeded the letters (with an outline) from the 3635, and applied to white acrylic? Nice halo effect....or is that just the way it looks in the picture? What did you use to adhere the letters to the face? Poor mans "push thru"? :thumb: EDIT: Oops, what happened to...
  15. Galvanized Trailer

Customer called to inform me he is buying 2 galvanized dump trailers, and he would like them lettered. Has anyone attempted to apply vinyl letter over a galvanized finish before? I'm thinking it won't work out too well.
  16. Sign Ideas / Types Of Signs

    would like to see it.
  17. Enough is enough already............................

Hey Magnum THANK YOU GINO!!!!!!!! We are dealing with this today, as we speak. Did 24 magnets for a company last month, and they are reporting the same edge distortion / non sticking problem. Magnum 30m is the product used. Mr. Customer stopped in yesterday to show me the problem.
  18. non sign related legal advice needed.

The contractor I had, said the truss's need replaced (what he could see were rotted), and the facia is completely rotted out also. Being the sloped roof runs into this 5' x 8' flat roof, he said he would need to tear out a couple feet of shingles, so he could run the rubber roof underneath...
  19. non sign related legal advice needed.

Nope, he is a local contractor. Thus the reason I was hesitant to sue him for the other crap he did. I live in a very small community. At the time I felt it wasn't in either of our best interest. Foolish decision. True.
  20. non sign related legal advice needed.

Adtechia, don't sell the combined knowledge of this forum short. Just venting actually......and possibly someone else may have had a similar problem in the past. And as I said before.....perhaps we have an attorney who does signs part time. Or maybe a good roofer :ROFLMAO: It could...
