  1. Need Advice

Tackle twill is best done with a laser. It cuts a perfect edge and seals the the fabric to keep it from raveling.
  2. Hey designsbytmm I made it!

I think we need to put a "YOU MUST BE THIS TALL TO RIDE THIS RIDE" on the home or sign up page of Signs 101.

    Welcome
  4. Auto Serialization

Also, if you have your workspace preferences set to something other than the Flexi or default it won't be there.
  5. Auto Serialization

You won't see this feature untill the page has at least one number on it. Type 1234 or something and look again.
  6. Cutter stops cutting after so many feet

I have the FC5100-130 and an FC5100-150. I love em. Never has an issue. The FC5100 is the earlier version of the FC7000. Going on 3 years and zero downtime, zero service probs. For my money, good choice.
  7. Cutter stops cutting after so many feet

What kind of error does it give? Could it be the speed is set to high causing the vinyl to wave or jump around and the media detector is shutting you down?
  8. New Member

    Hello and welcome!!
  9. Waterjet- good, bad or ugly?

I've seen them on American Chopper, the Orange County Chopper show. LOL I'd love to have one if they work as they appear to. Leave a great edge so they appear.
  10. FC5100 - 130 error 1

Don't remember the sequence but there are certain buttons on the plotter you hold down or press at start up that resets the plotter. Check the manual or go to the web site and get the inst.
  11. Dislike Flexi

Well, I'm glad this is settled. I know I feel better now.
  12. Dislike Flexi

In a high volume shop Flexi is the ONLY way to go. If you have time to sit and do things the long way around then you are right, you probably don't need Flexi-Sign. But if you design everything from banners to channel letters to 100ft high rises you need Flexi. Flexi is a very inportant tool for...
  13. Dust Collector

My AXYZ came with a dust collector that surrounds the bit and an overhead hose takes it out of the room.
  14. Breaking bits on MDO

I just noticed that you were cutting 3/4 inch mdo at 1 or 2 passes. Won't work. Needs to be 4 to 5 passes. Then go about 100 to 125 ipm.
  15. Breaking bits on MDO

If you are breaking bits at 25 ipm and the bit is ok you have a software issue and the router is actually moving faster. What program are you using to communicate to the router with? You could have a compatibility issue with the communication software and the program you create the work...
  16. What kind of plotter should I buy?

Who is Nelson Newbie? He's got file problems, been ripped off on a plotter on ebay got a cracked Flexi for $200.00 and has a post about advise on buying plotters now. Oh, and theres a post on the difference in vinyl. He's had a heck of a day.
  17. Routing CoroPlast...How do you do it?

The router will tear and shear the interior corragation in corplast no matter what you do. You can decrease it by keeping a sharp bit with 1 flute with a steep angle, slower spindle spped and a high IPM. You will still have to clean it up with a knife. If you plan on cutting a large...
  18. Just got new CNC

I love my AXYZ router and ArtCam software. It gives us a real advantage many times. We build our own channel letters and monument signs and I have learned to use it on redwood instead of sandblasting, and most any type dimentional project. I say get one if possible and if you need it.
  19. storage ideas (capacity?)

:wine-smi: At this point I would say if you can't do this yourself, go with your tech support person because we obviously can't agree on this and we won't be there to be help you if it goes down. As you can see, this post has driven me to drinking.
  20. storage ideas (capacity?)

With the new low cost motherbords with on-board RAID and big, cheap SATA and SCSI hard drives the RAID should be a good investment. It's not that big a deal anymore. 5 years ago it was different. RAID was mysterious and expensive but it comes standard on many good m-boards now. If your buying...
