  1. HP Latex Printer arrived today...

You just showed why canned profiles do not work very well a lot of times. The L25500 is very dependent on environment, especially altitude as your vacuum setting shows. At 90 on the curing I would keep a close eye out for oil prints especially if you're winding up the banners. With the right ink...
  2. l25500 greasy prints

Creating correct linearizations, light ink curves, ink limits, and profiles for your environment is most important.
  3. Making Decisions - Banners we Offer

How do you know I am not getting a government sub check for printing banners? I can do them at $1.50 a square foot that way and get more business than I want. Billboards at $.75. Thanks Obama!
  4. Making Decisions - Banners we Offer

This stuff prints great with the L25500. http://www.advantagesignsupply.com/Optima-Opti-Solve-Basic-Heavy-Duty-Banner-Matte-15-oz-38-x-120
  5. Making Decisions - Banners we Offer

"Do you cut the edges of your banners? Sew? Tape?" Weld hem them. Rarely us tape except for some material. Never sewn anymore. "If sewing or taping, is there an "additional fee" that you are adding?" Always quote prices complete and most others want to tack on cost, and explain how they...
  6. l25500 greasy prints

You can't use that much ink. You should be able to get a great black by throwing only 100% black at it. That is 100% black not linearized or profiled black. As for ink not drying curing heat is one issue, the other is to much ink, especially a problem when to much light inks are added. I have...
  7. Double-sided solvent paper

Have you checked out 10mil or 14mil Blox-Lite? Works great for double sided printing on the L25500. But maybe to thick for your needs.
  8. 60" Banner Material for HP L25500

Looks like 61.5" and no more. Check out these comments http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...a-000040c516b2 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Unofficial-HP-Latex-Printer-User-based-Support/124242024342863?sk=app_202980683107053&app_data=6ac1214d-2606-4382-adcd-534a01f00bfd:0
  9. Lexjet Media for HPL25500??

One great thing about LexJet is you can order the media and try it and if it does work for you they will take it back and give you credit. I would also look at Grimco and Advantage Sign Supply for this type of material.
  10. l25500 fans?

How often does it do cleaning cycles when it is sleeping?
  11. l25500 fans?

Has anybody noticed any issues (nozzle clogging) one way or the other? Turning it off or leaving it on in sleep mode. I have done it both ways and haven't noticed any difference.
  12. HP L25500 Error Code 14.10.0

    Check here. http://hpl25500users.ning.com/profiles/blogs/my-printer-is-down
  13. Color Management and the L25500

I don't recall seeing any rips that support the ColorMunki. At best if the RIP supported the onboard spectro you could do do linearization, ink limiting, and curve adjustments for the light inks on the RIP. And then use ColorMunki to create a profile, but again the question would be how well...
  14. L25500 - Error Code 15:03:00

15.3 Excessive heat in the drying module. Check that all fans are working and unblocked. If the problem persists, call your service representative.
  15. Color Management and the L25500

90 worked pretty good at the 16Pass setting. 95 at the 10Pass setting. 100 was to much at 10Pass.
  16. L25500 and Avery MPI1005

Your right there. This is a whole new ballgame.
  17. Color Management and the L25500

That all depends on what RIP you using. The ColorGate RIP allows me five different setting so I can keep the light inks high (40 to 42%) in the light areas but I can control the transitions so that no light ink prints from 80% on up or how ever I want to set it. The Fiery on the other hand does...
  18. Color Management and the L25500

I noticed so many references here to people using linearizations and profiles produced by others and many times not even for the media that you are using. In most of my testing of downloaded profiles or ones that come with the RIPs they leave a lot to be desired. Which confirms my conversations...
  19. L25500 - Error Code 15:03:00

Where do you get the error code, RIP or printer? What is your Minimum drying power set at? How many passes?
  20. Can L25500 run 63" wide materals?

I have measured the L25500 and there is no way you run a 63" roll. You can fit a 62" roll though.
