  1. Bigfish 3.5 Mil UV PS Matte Lam 54" Special $81

Interesting I get the same ignoring from BigFIsh. He is always posting here but will never respond to emails on pricing or samples. Does anyone actually purchase anything from him.
  2. 2-sided banner

The L25500 can do two sided banner just fine. What material and settings are you using? My favorite two sided material is Bantex 18oz. Others are more problematic but you don't need as high a cure setting on the first side and also figure out on which side the edge curls up and print that side...
  3. Latex Printable Chrome?

Any recent news on printable chrome? R-Tape does not seem to list chrome anymore. Only say available in silver and gold or is this silver what you are talking about? Doyle
  4. Getting a Mac and switching to Illustrator

One thing you need to know is that Adobe is defiantly not making or selling software for for PowerMacs anymore. All their new software is for the Intel processor MacPros. Powermacs are old and outdated with their PowerPC processors. There are probably a lot of used ones out there, and they are...

  6. Attn: L26500 Owners

I was wondering that myself. How well does the registration sensing of the L26500 and the more material use for the targets work over the manual alignment of double side printing on the L25500.
  7. Cost effective method to print 500 posters

  9. New Océ Flatbed - Arizona 318GL - Any Thoughts?

    Whats the price?
  10. Double sided printing

There is no mechanical reason you can't print two sided with the L25500. I do it all the time. With the L25500 you have to mark your starting point on the second side and pretty much do one print at a time on the second side. Of course that depends on how much the media being used will stretch...
  11. Latex Profile Issue

Avery I have some 2005 here that has that problem on the left side into about 3". The rest of it is fine.
  12. Latex Profile Issue

Ink coalescing, media issues no doubt if randomly occurring. A couple things you can try. More passes, up drying heat, up airflow. Relinearizing keep light inks to a minimum and nothing beyond 50%, lower ink limits and create new profile. What is room temp and humidity?
  13. HP L25500 3M IJ35C-10 Caldera Profile?

That was just a suggestion to get around the problem of too much ink lay down for people that for what every reason don't want to do their own linearization, light ink curves, ink limits, and profiles. I agree 8 pass would probably be fine as long as your light ink curves, and ink limits, are...
  14. HP L25500 3M IJ35C-10 Caldera Profile?

Turn you cure heat down to where you need to and then set your passes to 12. If your ink is still not curing go to 16 pass.
  15. Nightmare Latex Printer

Do your own Color Management and you won't have these issues.
  16. Nightmare Latex Printer

What elevation above sea level is the location where you have this printer installed, and what is the room temp and humidity. You may have no choice but to create your own linearization, light ink curves, ink limits, and profiles.

  18. Need some reassurance...

What ever you do make sure you have the options to do complete color management with what ever RIP you purchase. Of all the RIPs I have used over the years, Flexi, Onyx, Harlequin, Fiery XF, Colorgate, and sampled, Caldera, PosterJet, and probably others I can't remember I keep coming back to...
  19. Wavy Pattern in Banner

Are the pinch rollers in the L26500 designed with the same pattern? Never could quite figure out why HP designed them that way. Of course with some material, where the pressure is applied and not there would probably still be marks.
  20. Wavy Pattern in Banner

That is the pattern from you pinch rollers that happens on some material. Try turning you dry temps down a little. And, it usually shows up a the beginning of printing which leads me to think that the pinch rollers get heated a little more and some vinyl or coatings react this way.
