I should elaborate. I did slightly differently than kev. I used the strip LEDs and mounted them on the outside of the window facing in. Separate power supply. Connected to a timer that turns them on from 7am to 11 pm. Our print room for the latex machines just got new lighting but these LEDs...

Two of ours are done up the same way. New models should have them included IMO.

Between us, and bill at Wyld grand format, you have all of the wholesale production power you'll ever need, within a few miles of the highlands. If I had to do this all over again, I'd design and sell, and outsource it all. No sense in investing in machines and staff, esp if you are just...

Have had solvent printers since 2000, before most of the industry even thought about solvent printing as a way to make signs. I now have a growing fleet of latex printers. I'll never buy another solvent printer again. Latex technology is far superior in so many ways.

3 in one. Hardware store, lowes, depot, etc. Works great. Or light sewing machine oil.

Neschen makes a 3 mtr liquid laminator--abt $45k. they sell liquid lam, but check out clearshield as well. We have had great success with it on UV prints on roll and flat stocks.

We have a small, growing fleet of latex printers. I would be hard pressed to buy another solvent printer. And, we have had solvent printers since before Roland, Mimaki, or Mutoh even thought about the R & D on solvent printers. IMO, these things are the harbinger of major things to come in...

Quick turn, not a big deal. We almost always have 24 hour turnaround. During high volume periods, we print orders according to event and due dates to ensure event dates are made on time.
