  2. Self funded Health insurance / cash healthcare payers

Seeing as how our premiums will continue to rise the 21% allowed by law every year, as they have for the past 5 years, I have turned to researching a self funded plan with a stop loss backup. Not a big insurer run BS laden HSA plan thats really a health plan in disguise. A bank the cash...
  3. Screw you 3M.

I agree it's a wonky thing 3M is up to with Original. We just went through the very same thing. Not sure what do do other than switch wrap films. We burn through ctac, too and it's great stuff other than the ****tay cores and the short rolls. Very frustrating when your supplier becomes your...

  7. Stolen Bike Registry?

Well, if more people payed attention and asked questions like this, maybe 9-11 wouldn't have happened. It's not what you pay attention to the matters, its that you pay attention to the stuff that matters.
  8. Da Wraptor

Well, in an ideal world, 2-3 guys on a vehicle is the way to go. BUT, in reality one guy happens in a lot of shops. So why not just hang it and stick it? I can see this doodad really getting in the way and actually making things tougher.

  11. LEDs on banner?? Anyone?

Disney did it on hordes of double sided pole banners at the magic kingdom. I think it was 2004 or 2005. Way ahead of their time as usual. Small holes with the LEDs poking through. They looked killer. Quick google - heres one from 2006...
  12. free grommet plugin

There is an onyx plugin for illy. http://www.onyxgfx.com/index.php?area=viewinfo&action=article&id=46 But, it's practicality depends on your volume and workflow. For us, we process a very wide variety of file types. That would mean many times we would be bringing cumbersome files into illy...
  13. Print White with Jeti 3150x2

While ours are set up as 6 color, I have spent some time on a 4+W+cl 3150. I can't speak to the changeover time, but I can tell you will need to build a profile as well. So factor this time in. On the one we tested that had a good profile it was being used for fine art work, and printed...
  14. UV Ink Flaking on Coroplast and Maxmetal

Could easily and number of things like old coro, dirty coro, bad corona treatment, or plasticizer migration as well. What did you change in the system? Your brand of coro by any chance? Your supplier? How many hours on the lamps? Did you check if your lamp glass is clean? I'm assuming...
  15. Minority Business Enterprise a factor in evaluating bids for city projects?

Just like Pat, I have a client in heavy/road construction doing the same thing. His "wife's company" just bought a tidy "little" home in the keys after completing a major sidewalk/road rebuilding job in a lovely city just east of Philly. He's now doing more work through "her" company than "his"...
  16. Black CF pictures from YES Solvent

While I can't speak for his material, I have purchased heads from Fieldcenter for a smooth as presented transaction. If you want to send a sample out to us, I'll be happy to provide feedback.
  17. Custom cut Signabond or Dibond

I agree. We even cut squares and rectangles on the router over the panel saw. If a machine can do it better than a human why not. If your source is local tell him to check out the onsrud 63 series bits. Cut like the stuff like butter.

  19. Need 12" Circles Routed Please

Jill, we can cut them for you. While we're at it, might as well print them too. You could hand your client a finished product.
  20. estimating large volume?

I think you may be overlooking a few things. Perhaps others will chime in.... Big box retailer....under construction....NY market.....is it a union jobsite? Are other trades working......expect you to be low on the totem pole....think waiting around for others to clear spaces and access your...
