  1. Vinyl remover chemicals

If this job came to my shop it would wait for warmer weather, like April warm. Ask the customer if they see any exterior painting going on this time of year. No wonder you are having problems, just too cold to do this type of work.
  2. small runs of stickers not laminated...suggestions

I do this on my Roland printers print and cut at the same time on 3640 matte finish oracal. I do wait an hour or two before weeding. Using the matte finish I have never had a curling problem, the gloss finish does tend to curl with full bleed printing. I do loads of decals this way (500-1000...

  5. Vinyl remover chemicals

Tell the customer the tank needs re-painted. Sand it off and have it painted, then re-letter. This honestly will give you the best results and I am will to bet will take less time than what you are going to spend trying to not damage the paint, and still have faded and or damaged paint anyways...
  6. Mounting Aluminum Sign

A brake works better than a hammer....LOL yes I have a pretty heavy brake I do it on. Most heating and cooling places have them if you don't have one. FYI, a siding brake isn't heavy enough. I would call this flush, as opposed to sticking out. It is flat against the wall, and looks like an...
  7. Mounting Aluminum Sign

I make 4x8's all the time with 0.040 I bend a 1" lip on them and install them on angle brackets, that way screws are not in the face, they are on the top lip and bottom lip, out of site. I also glue foam inside this to get the wave out of it. Pan Box sign is what I call it... something like this...

  14. electrical sign cabinet question

I am in Nebraska, I installed a state farm sign on a couple pan faces last summer and didn't have any problems. Sometimes it is the agent trying to be too anal...
  15. Oilboard Stencils

Newbies expect too much from a cricut...LOL. Cutting stencils on a plotter can be done, but it is a PITA! Duplicate the design 3-4 times over the same spot and then cut. Put the plotter on a low weight, with the dulicates the plotter will go over the same line/design 3-4 times lightly. This...

  17. Oversized backlit box - graphics?

  18. short tshirt run

Why do sign people try and do shirts...stick to what you know. I see SO MANY hack sign/shirt printers out there putting out garbage like this....If you iron it on it looks like crap. BTW iron on = heat press, same thing!
  19. Wholesale Screen Printer

++for Firesprint, I was just there today. Those guys rock stuff out!
  20. vhb tape

I have removed panels held on with vhb by heating it up real hot with a heat gun, then the fishing line trick, than 3M adhesive remover and a plastic razor blade to remove the rest. The heat is the trick that helps the best, even to remove the left over tape. BTW I use 40 lbs test line, never...
