We do a lot of lettering for our local car dealers. No wraps, they have a "certified" wrap place do that. They don't do too many, I know of only two all of last year, while I bet I lettered over 75 for them.

The title said printer, if you only have $3K forget that. Vinyl cutter, you should just cruze e-bay. For $3K you can get a nice Roland, but then you would have nothing left for software.

I lay trailer out on 48" wide panels with 1" overlap. Trailers, for the most part, are made with 48" wide panels, so there is a natural seam every 48".

Been doing this since 1988 the problem is the cheap software. Not trying to be an a$$ but 99.9% of the cutting problems posted on here are from people trying to use cheap software. How can I print a graphic and have a "ghost reflective image" in it. Say a white number, with a reflective white skull in it. The number doesn't reflect but the skull does, and the skull is pretty much invisible until lit. I thought of just cutting the reflective, but the design is real...

I print reverse on optical clear, then lam with the same. not a big deal.

Laytex paint is for houses NOT signs....Hexis hp vinyl is junk.....what other good new would you like? Mathews or Ronan paint with 3M film and you are good to go.

Call a sign company that does this kind of work. If you don't know what you are doing I hope you have GOOD INSURANCE....the sign falls on someone you will be done fore good.
