I have two print and cut solutions. Gerber Edge and plotter. Mimaki JV3-160S and Graphtec 8000-160. If I couldn't print and cut at the same time, I would be seriously backed up.
okay...what about the OCZ Z drives. They are basically two or more SSD drives packaged up to work on a PCI-express slot. Read/write is something like 760/680 mb/s. The onboard controller handles the raid and Garbage Collection works. They are pricey, but at those speeds...I would love to...
Thank you for all the responses. I'm going to check out Bob Hughes later, but it doesn't look like he stocks anything that I'm looking for. I went ahead and ordered from Displays 2 Go. They have them in stock, the problem was expedited shipping to me from Rhode Island. Stand $176 - Shipping...
I've also really wanted to sell these smaller LED boards. I have been pushing the smaller one from Wagner. It's about $800 and I try to sell it as $1500 installed with training. I've sold one. I'm in Houston, TX and people just do not want to spend money on good signage. Not the smaller...
I'm looking for a portable flag stand. The one pictured is 13' tall. I have only found one supplier in Rhode Island. I'm in Texas and need one by this weekend. Shipping cost is going to be crazy to get it here by then. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get one? My local...
My understanding was that Gerber products are made by 3M. I have been using Gerber vinyl from the get go (1996) and I have never had any problems. Especially with ripping? If it's really brittle, maybe it was really old. I don't think I have ever ripped any Gerber vinyl.
And typically...
All the time. I just charge extra. I also offer pickup and delivery of vehicles. I charge $100 - $150 for that service and it works well. We do lots of fleet graphics and they are willing to pay because they understand that someone has to pay for the time.
I just installed the new 3.0 on 64bit win 7 and I am having the same problem with dongle. I'm going to try again next week. I got tired of jacking with it last month. Gerber seems narrow minded when it comes to working with newer technology...that isn't Gerber brand.
I've used to different serial to USB generic ports I bought from Fry's. They both worked as long as the driver worked. You also have to make sure the correct com port is assigned to plotter. For instance, mine only works as COM 3. Will not work as COM 1. Not sure why. I am running XP pro.
I did the punch and hammer for about 10 years. Didn't bother me too much until I would get those jobs that required 250 holes in a day...
Bought a Stimpson a few years ago...never looked back. Looks as good as day 1 and works as good as day 1. My local vendors didn't offer Hiker, so I knew...
Only problem with making pole pockets using banner tape - they don't last very long outside. Not in Texas. The heat gums up the tape and it falls apart. I bought a used sewing machine this past year. It's not a double needle, but it is industrial. Look hard and you will find some good deals...
In my area, you can get much faster speeds with Comcast - over 25mb, but you have to pay for it. Business class is made up into 3 different tiers. I am paying for the lower service - and it's $69 plus taxes. And that doesn't come with TV....
We use cable at home and at the shop. I have business class at work which guarantees at least 6mb down and 1.5mb up. I usually get about 2mb up and at least 8mb down. At home I get up to 10mb down!!! I have a friend with a higher tier that gets 6mb up and 16mb down...talk about fast...
