Make a filled rectangle 11.75" tall by 3" wide in Composer and save it. Open and run it any time you've just turned your Edge on before you print anything else. This will serve to evenly heat up your print head which will result in most or all drop outs not happening.

Generally speaking, disconnecting each connection and plugging it back in should be sufficient. If you want to clean each connector as well, I would suggest 99% isopropanol on a Q-Tip.

One thing to be aware of is that you will need to babysit it when it runs. It will want to cling to steel parts on your Edge and on your plotter.
