  1. Cs5!!

Wow. That paint brush blending is amazing. The warp tool is similar to the bone tool in flashcs4. I'm glad they are bringing it to photshop. Can't wait, there's already so much in cs4 I love. It's funny because sone of the command shortcuts in cs4 are wild. Control-shift-alt-C lol.
  2. printer choice

Ooo. I wish my Roland cut in a channel!! Lol, however the broad message if your gonna diecut digital stickers.... Get a machine that perf cuts! You can easily increase profits where non perf cutting people can't. Simple as that. Brian- thanks I might look into one of those summas :)
  3. MX Graphics: Arlon? vs Convex

It's all in the laminate. Convex makes a 12 mil lam that's great but it will cost you.
  4. biz cards

Hey, shouldn't this forumn be private, or at least the posts about print suppliers? Just my thoughts. As to the forumn it looks like everyone is at our pricing as well. No matter what you will get the few clients that go elsewhere for a better deal.. Some local shops do 49$ 1000 cards...
  5. printer choice

Pat- With perf cut your always cutting the same material. Stickers. You all can take it how you will but there are only 2 drawbacks to perf cutting with the Roland... You will use more blades. You will buy more cutting strips. However, most die cut shops charge in excess of 300$ for a die to...

  9. printer choice

Most plotters cant Perf Cut. If you want a finished product get the Roland. Better quality hands down. I can cut stickers all day, Laminate them and throw back on for cutting. Set the perf cut and both sticker and paper are cut.
  10. First Post

Ah. Good stuff Gino. I guess it comes down to modifying the font then a little more then it comes. Something like this then. More open ah?

Update from everyone's recommendations with a twist. =)
  13. Business Card Design Critique

Using hard lighting and displacement mapping is cool but it's making your lower text illegible. Your logo looks much better but work on making the card more legible.
  14. Problem with my SP300V

Lift front and look up above over material area... Strip is there.
  15. Problem with my SP300V

There should be a clear strip that the print head follows if it's any similar to my printer. We print soo much that that strip gets dirty. If it appears black you need to clean it with swab and water only. That strip tells the head where it's at and if it's dirty the printer gets confused.
  16. edge tape

I back ProWraps statement. Read the can.. I use edge sealer on glass only. I have cut lam strips before and they seem to work well.
  17. Insurance

That doesn't include ANY damage that might be done to property or customer vehicles. That's a liability plan. Expect to pay 3-1000$ a month for the right coverage. Coverage that you can feel good knowing that if ANYTHING happens... You are covered.
  18. printer choice

Heck, if we could all order turbojets we would, except for the 1-2 year ink fast
  19. how do you

I do most of my browsing from my phone these days.. Can't even see that link. I know what you want and your better off doing it with css. A simple color choice menu can switch the image overlay into whatever you create. This opens you up to all browsers and not limited to flash.
  20. printer choice

All in user preference. If you plan on doing a lot of cuts, the Roland cuts and perf cuts so you can give the client finished, shelf ready product. I perf cut tons of stickers and the finished product is excellent. For sticker speed it's prints fast. For wraps I haven't seen any printer match...
