I am trying to figure out how to let the printer profile be priority instead of SL. Might have to try Flexi, Onyx or another RIP. It printed vinyl with no problems as far as drying and saturation. Hoping someone with a similar setup will be able to help.
Okay so I just wanted to say we finally got the HP315 up and running on Signlab. But it appears SL is over riding the profile I choose on the printer. Once it starts printing it changes it to Generic substrate which then causes it not to have the correct drying temps. Can anyone help me out with...
I am wondering if there are places that buy old printers for the parts or computer boards. I have a new to me HP315 Latex coming and would like to get rid of the Mutoh. It was printing but had some plugged nozzles. Removed the print head to soak it and now it won't put ink to the vinyl. There is...
Thanks for your help. I just wanted to make sure the head did not need to be secured. I have only ran Mutoh prior to this HP. I am looking forward to the newer technology and love the waste tank being self contained.
Okay, I know its been a while but I finally made the deal for the new to me HP315. Was waiting all this time for a response to my offer and finally got it yesterday. I will be picking up the printer next week along with rolls of media, media stand and whatever other extras they have to go with...
I am being told that they had an HP tech in a couple years ago to go through it. I will be sending them a couple test prints for one of my bigger customers to see how it looks before I make my final decision. I will update as things go forward. Thanks for all the help.
He’s still trying to figure it out. He’s using Signlab and I almost wonder if that is some of the problem as I see they sell that printer with Flexi. He has always used Solvent with Signlab. Now he has to figure it out with the HP. I did pass your post on to him to help out.
My biggest concern isn’t the heads as samples were printed for me to check out. It prints very nice. I have a good friend that went from the same Mutoh I have to a man HP 115 and he can’t get his prints to dry. He has turned up the heat and even put a pause in on each pass for drying time but...
Update - Well after a few months I finally got an answer. They are wanting $3,500 for it with 2 unused rolls of 13oz banner still in the carton along with a roll around rack for media rolls. There are also partial rolls of different media on the stand as well. I just requested the usage log to...
If you know the steps for Printing via Signlab 9.1 and die cutting with a Summa, that would help. I am sure I will figure it out by trial and error. By the way I hope all is well with you and your family Gino. Have not been on 101 much and it was back in 2009 when we all met up for the Northeast...
I was having an issue with Signlab 9.1 not talking to the Summa D75R plotter that I picked up to replace my vinyl express Q39 that would not read registration marks. Soon after I made the post I figured out my problem. The knife was set to Knife with OPOS instead of Knife only in Signlab.
Now...
I have Corel and also don’t like Signlab when it comes to printing. I prefer Corel into something like Flexi. So I’m thinking about learning Flexi and may move over to that if I buy the printer.
Went to check it out this afternoon. Printer is clean and they are still on the first set of inks. Gonna take some prints down next week and run some test prints. If all checks out then I will make them an offer.
Well I was told they are repurposing the room and want it out. So hopefully I can get it for 2K or less. Do you happen to know the cost of replacing print head or heads and ink cost? Sorry for the questions as I have been in solvent with my Mutoh but have heard latex is a great product. I am a...
