  2. Will the real DeSoto please stand up.....

I was thinking about this yesterday. I have absolutely no problem with any system that is designed to improve the quality of a service, but when it comes to wraps, you can't just stop at installation. There really should be a better effort in teaching better design practices. I haven't had a...
  3. Wrap Certification

It would also depend on the certificate. Is it just a certification for installation, or does it encompass all facets of wraps, including effectiveness of the design or longevity of the materials being used?
  4. Wrap Certification

Maybe not the customer, but if I were an employer for a wrap company, it wouldn't hurt a persons chances of being hired. Although, I think there are other more important factors for a good employee then certificates. But like I said, it wouldn't hurt.
  5. dragon from magic sculpt

    That is wicked cool!
  6. Ok.. now THIS is cool...

That is cool, don't get me wrong, it is an impressive system, but it doesn't take into effect lighting which can kill the realism if it isn't right. If the lighting on the dog is different from the man, the background and the frisbee, then those elements look out of place. Also I wonder if it...

  13. Trouble With Corel

Yeah, try lowering your dpi setting. I haven't used 9 in forever. But I would imagine 24" X 72" at 300dpi is very do-able. If not, try stepping down to 200dpi.
  14. Corel help Softening edges

    AHHH gotcha! Sorry.
  15. Corel help Softening edges

Why don't you put the whole image on a black background, then use the interactive transparency tool to blend it out towards the bottom.
  16. Corel Text Troubles

I don't know for sure, but maybe there is some sort of conflict with a font????? Maybe too many fonts???? How much Ram do you have?
  17. Illustrator and blur? Why does it take so long to save?

I don't know about illustrator, but in corel it takes longer the larger the image you are trying to blur is.
  18. long time adobe user WOWed by corel x4

And how can it? We are dealing with thousands, or more, different kinds of monitors, printers, scanners, etc... all made by different manufactures... all using different parts and technology. This is why I think Corel's Color Management is one of the many tools that makes corel soo great.
  19. long time adobe user WOWed by corel x4

Yeah that seems to be the case. I have also noticed a lot of screenprinters and apparel shops use Corel too. At least they all seem to in this area.
  20. long time adobe user WOWed by corel x4

Not me. I don't use 4over, and I don't have problems with colors when I send things away to print. Usually the only problems I have had, has been me designing in RGB (cause I like the colors I can get in RGB) and others being setup in CMYK. If I know I'm sending art to someone else, I tend to...
