I have a decent computer with 16 gigs of ram but whenever I come across files with a lot of layers like that they take forever to open and make changes to. Is that an issue for you or do you just have a really expensive setup?
I use the following setting for EPS files:
Versaworks > Queue A/B Settings > File Format > EPS Margin > .05 in
If you're using PDF files it won't add a margin and you'll run into that problem a lot. Any more margin that and you're just wasting material IMO.
I'm doing it directly for a government military building and matching existing signage so I feel like if they don't want to be ADA compliant then oh well. They only need one. Thanks for the info on how to make one though. I didn't consider how simple it would be to make one myself.
Mil is thousandths of an inch, or how thick the banner is. Ounces is a measurement of weight. There's no direct conversion because it will depend on the density of the banner.
