  1. business cards

Really? I haven't had a problem with 4over in a really long time. I know a few years ago there were some problems, but I haven't had anything redone in as long as I can remember. I love making an easy $75 more on jobs by ordering cards for my clients.
  2. business cards

4over for cards, and zoo printing for folded menus and 1/2 color print jobs. I love 4over.
  3. Would your shop take this wrap job?

I would point him to a few stock websites, tell him to do his own photo research, making a lightbox with multiple images that he thinks might work. If he can find suitable pictures, MAYBE you can do a quick design. I have someone who wants custom printed canvas fabric for a reupholstery...
  4. DTG or Print&Cut with ES inks?

Which is more durable? Direct to garment or printing on sihl t-printz with my mimaki using ES3 inks? We've been doing more and more full color heat press shirts, and honestly, i'd rather send it out. BUT I have shirts that I made myself with T-Printz that have been washed at least 50 times and...
  5. Can someone please help me with this font?

    Please! Thank you!
  6. Asi Membership

Does anyone have an ASI membership? Do you even need it? I am ordering some napkins from a supplier I've never used before, and they asked if I had one. I looked it up, and its pretty expensive for a shop that doesn't do a lot of promo... And I don't really see the benefit when I can use...
  7. Need Source For Tunics

I have a client who needs to order shirts for a group that includes women who dress modestly. She has specifically requested "long sleeve tunics". And I'm having a hard time finding anything to fit the bill. I realize there is a huge market out there that I think is being ignored in the...
  8. Application tape Help!

do you have a laminator? Maybe you can make your own.
  9. Customer wants to pre-purchase printed heat transfers

I do a lot of heat transfer apparel items and I probably wouldn't have a problem doing this as long as I had flexibility when they bring the shirts in. But honestly, I'm not a fan of customer-supplied shirts, since you don't really know what you're going to get, and if you have a problem its...
  10. Competing With Online Giants Like Vista Print & Custom Ink

I really don't think we compete with them. A few people here and there say "BUT I CAN GET CARDS FROM VISTA PRINT FOR $10!!" And I say, you go right ahead. They aren't my customer. I don't worry about it. I'm not racing to the bottom trying to win the job on price alone.
  11. silk screen table throw vender

Its silver metallic logo, so dyesub is no. BUT I actually realized that they are often just heat pressed, and I can do that in house. AND I can sew, so I am probably just going to make the custom ones myself. I just need to figure out what is a reasonable price for the job.
  12. silk screen table throw vender

Hiya... Can anyone recommend a vendor who does SILK SCREEENED table throws? I need a custom size so they also need to do sewing in-house AND its a rush, of course! I'd prefer someone on the east coast / one day ship to NJ. Thanks.
  13. Buying polycarbonate & acrylic sheets from china ocean freight save 60% vs usa

Actually, Yes. Do you want proof? I've ordered pens that are 2x more expensive because they are made in the USA. I have them on my desk, and I've sold them multiple times to my customers who appreciate things made locally. I won't order from silkcards.com because they are made in china. I...
  14. Signs2Trade

there is a local "wholesale to trade" shop not to far from me. I only used them twice before one of my clients asked me to pricematch them...because they advertise their prices online, in the open, and allow non-trade accounts to order at those prices. so nope, can support that crap.
  15. Buying polycarbonate & acrylic sheets from china ocean freight save 60% vs usa

i'm pretty against buying china made materials. It undermines our economy. We are literally taking money away from ourselves by sending it to Asia. We spend $1000 on something from overseas, and we will never see that money again. If we spend $1500 on something made in the USA, it will...
  16. Poor Templates

i didn't even know this was an option!
  17. Cool story )

you just gave me a great idea... I should make a board within viewing distance of the front of my shop that has a list of the companies who owe us money. Its funny how most people don't like to be known as deadbeats.
  18. Your thoughts on unconventional yard sign production...

same here. when there are tons of copy changes, we usually just print in house though. the process of me setting up 25+ files, uploading them all, etc is just too time consuming. We do a fair amount of golf tournament signs, and doing them in house allows us to do some last minute signs. If I...
  19. RED at day ORANGE at night.

I don't have the same printer, but we usually print one normal print and apply to face, then print another in reverse on clear and apply that to the inside of the face. So the colors are true during the day, but at night it has extra opacity to keep the colors true.
