it happened with my sp300v, I just put a rag between the cartridge and the metal slot for the cartridge and it beeped, detecting the cartridge, I remove the rag and beeped again, missing the cartridge, so I put the rag in it and left it until I use all the ink and then replaced with a new cartridge.

it has been working great for me..... I a lot of printing and looks better, magenta it is much better that before, the quality overall it great, but I am using only the profiles for versaworks from roland.........:clapping:

try this: :cool1: open the cover, and then the other cover where the pump is, find which hose is for the black and cyan is coming from the cap top, remove and attach a syringe and pull, until you see the ink, it will be mixed with black, but it will get trough the head, remove the syringe...

if the vp540 is using versaworks, you can speed up the printer by opening the job properties/quality and select the print quality, then check the box IGNORE DEFAULT SETTINGS and change the Head speed to 950 or a 1000, (I use 900 or 950 and select standar for print quality) that it will go...

I kind of solved the problem, I do not how, but the lines got air, using the syringe I was able to feed the ink to the heads, test print looks ok, on black, cyan and yellow, only the magenta is printing yellow too...
