They stare at the same 60 dollar job for several hours hand tracing raster files while downloading and trying new fonts, just to have the customer reject it. And when it comes time to produce it does not convert their new fonts to outlines or include embedded images.
The uneasy alliance...

Looks pretty awesome, but with a 3,200 price tag it better be.
We have been using various saws which leave a nasty edge and make a huge mess. Also, there is about to be a mutiny if I keep cutting outside on the break...
So I recently discovered vacuum wipe whereby the carriage goes over a glorified vacuum cleaner attachment that sucks extra ink from priming down into a hole somewhere. (a waste tank that I do not know how to empty lol)
This seems superior to the wiping with a lint free towel method...what is...
Not knowing your specific printer, and assuming it is profiled or at least has canned profiles...I would say it just needs a thorough cleaning.
My 1 cent
Bobby has done it again...
Being an impatient dummy I blew a tiny fuse on the main board of our Roland RS-640. I called Bobby up (at 4:45) and told him it was the F1 Fuse on the main board diagram. He called me back in minutes and said not only did he find this tiny thing on the diagram but...
Good question...I flushed the ink out and I only submerged the head part. Built a little stand out of coro so that it had some clearance underneath it....I taped where the ribbons attach with masking tape covering them as well as most of the circuit board.

Got a 30-40% clogged/who knows Epson DX-4 printhead...the part cleaner came in this morning already cleaned a huge amount of goo out of my glasses and am cleaning my keys now...just for testing..
Going to finish a couple prints and then throw the DX-4 into the wash...will report back...
BS is no substitute for a real laminator. We use ours to lay down prints on 1-2 yard signs or magnets, but that is about it. Easier to grab for quick laying down of prints than unfeeding the lam or more likely moving the pile of jobs leaning on it.

May have been just me but my version of cutting master 2 kept crashing and was full of bugs...I had to restart Illy whenever I wanted to Reg Marks on something..
CM3 looks all modern and functions great.

Don't use roland inks...that just silly. We've been using STS inks from Cibersupply for over a year now. As far as third party inks ruining your machine, I can't imagine paying for a tech to come out and fix a solvent machine..they are so simple.
Many will say cast vinyl always for vehicle...
A buddy from another sign shop (2 hours away..) contacted me and wants to pay me very well to come try to fix his Colorspan. Long story short my young family has had a rough beginning to the year and this would really help out.
I know from my short experience with Colorspans that I should...
