I'm very happy with our lease ($1 buy-out option at the end) and our accountant made a great case of using it vs buying.
We now have more operating capital each month as we did not have to max out our accounts to purchase the equipment.
We get tax breaks on it every year of the lease.
We...
Thanks! I have not read up on the Infinity Board products.
The examples look really good and I like the thought of bending for shipping requirements, when needed.
Thanks again, I will look into it!
Cardboard Cutout w/ UV Prints
What brand do you recommend to test out for the print quality? I'm looking for options using paper mounted faces on cardboard or styrene / pvc faced cardboard.
Applications: Packaging, Product Displays, and Standalone Cutouts.
Also looking into the foam core...
I too would avoid the knife / blade options at all cost.
I was going to clean my belt during a weekend when I was not working, but that never seems to happen. I plan on using the UV flush and alcohol with lots and lots of elbow grease. I thought about finding the most firm tooth brush...
I use a 45 degree blade on a roland xc-540 with 190 grams of pressure. We normally cut calendered vinyl ranging from 140 to 175. We had no issues...
It was really easy to weed.
This is horrible news... My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.
Jesse was a positive member/person on this site and I will miss his post and views on our industry.
I have not used that color with Substance material, sorry. But I think you will find that it will still produce a rich black when viewing inside or outside.
Good luck!
Contact Marketing/Advertising Firms. Most do not even mark-up the products and do triple bids on all projects as they control who produces the signage. They have more work for their clients than most can handle.
Put together a Capabilities Deck and send it out to all that you can find online...
We have a Roland XC-540 and the only thing we print on it is wraps. The prints look awesome and I think it is a far better build than the XR-640 for overall performance. The XC-540 is a tank and I was hoping the new gen Roland's would improve, but I have heard many horror stories from those...
I have moved quite a few of our clients over to GlassAdHere and they love it! It's the perfect solution for window based Ads. You can wet apply or dry apply. It has a great white point for the base and it can be reused as well.
Get a sample and you will be hooked! I no longer even stock...
HP = Apple... but with lower prices.
It seems like they drop a new small roll-to-roll every 12 to 15 months. They are not expensive printers when new, but it sure does not help the resell value when they drop new printers so quickly.
Good for the used printer buyer... not so good for the...
We never used 3-party inks in my smaller roll to roll as the price was already not bad and heard some horror stories.
We purchased a used flatbed and the seller told us about a 3 party ink they sold. Researched it and read some good info on it... We pulled the trigger and it was a very good...
Switched to Caldera at the start of the year. I've been very impressed with the features and I'm only scratching the surface of software. If it's possible to find a used copy or buy a new one, then I would suggest it 10 out of 10 times at this point. I was worried about learning the new...
I don't have any suggestion for the laminate method.
I'm going to spray some clear coat on a few sample pieces of printed ACM. Have you ever tried that method with your ACM prints?
We have pretty good scratch resistance considering it's printed ACM, but not enough to remove the stress of...
We used to print, laminate and lay the vinyl on coro blanks. I would lose money doing them as my time was worth more working on more important factors for our company.
We then started to sub them out to a friend that has a flatbed. Got the signs normally within 24 hours with good quality...
I would look for a Roland XC-540. I think it was the last "Tank" built by Roland that just gets the job done. It's a printer and cutter using 54" media. It has great production speeds compared to many comparable models.
You can get the dryer/fan and take-up reel on some units. Others will...
We have a Roland and cannot leave the media on overnight as it will warp it around the pinch rollers. I would think that would be on any printer with a pinch roll system. It also leaves the roller mark on the media and my gut tells me it could not be good to leave the pinch rollers down all...
