We could be doing it wrong... I'm just offering up suggestions to those that may like what I have to say about focusing on higher profit projects or spending that time working on ways to increase your sales.
Again... opportunity cost is something that we value over making banners. We sell a...
I agree the square foot price is a bit cheaper to print it in-house. But the labor time and finishing eats it up quickly. I just think there are more profitable and important aspects to spend our time on. We don't have a bunch of employees to do it. If I'm working on a banner that is a huge...
We order from Signs2Trade and B2sign. Both do good work... But knowing that Signs2Trade uses Vutek printers gives us a better understanding of what the colors will look like when finished. We placed about 3k to 4k worth of banners from them in the last 60 days. All looked great and on time...
We only use Cast on vehicles after having issues with the top brand's calendared vinyl on vehicles. I've used a lot of the IJ35 in the past and it's only used in our shop when the client has no funds or it's a short term project outdoors with the sign being tossed after the event.
If it was printed on a HP latex series... heat setting was too low on the print. I love our HP printers, but I have to remember to raise the heat level about 12-19 degrees for solid colors or full color pictures, otherwise we get that slick print feel.
Is it only on the black areas?
What is...
The details are key... Those that do not understand that will learn one day.
Never had to have you redo a design and your work is always on point. You ask what you need to know to make it happen. Don't change a thing...
Eric, I'm so sorry to hear about your father.
Times like this allow us to see how meaningless everything is compared to our loved ones. Our prayers are with you and your family.
We have an XC-540 that we use for cutting. The XC-540 was a workhorse during it's time with printing wraps for us. The tracking was never great on long runs and we had to adjust throughout the roll. It's not fun and requires attention. But you can try to dial it in as suggested above and you...
We outsource based on the project. If we can focus on things more profitable then chances are we are going to outsource the signage that can eat labor hours.
There are a some good wholesalers on this site. Create files and pay for each of them to print. This will allow you to compare the...
You have to start somewhere... Maybe that is all that he could do at this time to get started.
Not everyone has the money to get started "the proper way" as some would put it. I hope the guy takes off quickly and gets things going for his family. This industry offers many great...
Does anyone suggest a company to use to purchase the threads and needles to hem banners?
Any suggestions on 3-party accessories that will help with the hem process for 1" standard hem to 4" pole pockets? We are purchasing the Juki LU 1560N unit.
Thanks!
How will this printer affect their current user base of the Latex 3000+ Series?
Will those users see this as an upgrade as it is a hybrid or do you think those users are happy enough with the roll-to-roll option they currently run?
Did I read the post correct about it being Six 4x8 boards per hour on CMYK? I've not had time to read into it as of yet. Just reading the notes from you guys right now.
I would think this is a step down to EFI or Durst when competing for production based on the price alone, but that number is...
The price point puts it to a 3-to-1 ratio which is nice. It looks like a solid unit. I will have to compare the dba ratings on the scroll version above and this one. That unit is about 15 dba below the Kobalt we currently use in the shop. Thanks for sharing the info!!!!
That looks like the one for us. I loved the Video Ad where it shows a 80+ Gallon and the small scroll... I'm going to review the specs on it. Thanks!!!!!!!
100k pump hours... That's impressive and makes it easier to see why it would cost more to purchase.
69 dba is pretty darn good...
Hello All,
We are looking to purchase an air compressor that has a lower dba rating. We currently purchase 20 gallon Kobalt compressors about every year to 15 months. The dba rating on our unit is 84 and it's too loud for our shop.
What 20+ gallon air compressor do you recommend?
