  1. Credit Card Processing WTF?

I charge our clients fee that we are charged to use the card. Last deposit for a project was paid on a CC. They paid an extra $280 to use the CC instead of a check. We are not large enough to cover the CC fees, we are a small company that needs every penny to stay open..lol. We use square...
  2. A couple new fonts I recently designed.

    Sweet fonts!!!
  3. Roland XC540 going into limited use

I would sell it... I think you can find a better cutter that takes up less space. Also it's a great printer and built like a tank, so let someone else put it to use. I am looking at several different types of printers right now. I was going to put ours on the market for 10k (has the blower...
  4. Pricing Wrap Installation

We charge $3 per square foot.
  5. opening next door to competitor? Ethics v/s food on the table

I have been thinking about opening a location in the Triad Area of NC. So much business down there compared to where I am right now. I found a plenty of places from Winston-Salem to Greensboro. Rent is cheap and homes are CHEAP compared to where I am now. I would think you could find a...
  6. US Tech Laminator (Pro 65 C): Ebay Special

Great machine, great value... I mainly laminate everything using cores. I will unroll the core and roll it up again to help do long runs. When the prints on the core are nice and level on the edges it will barely even go off after Many Feet.
  7. US Tech Laminator (Pro 65 C): Ebay Special

Our unit came with a green folder with the info. I removed the side metal sheeting on each side. Then adjusted the jam nut on the roller attachment arm until I could not see any light on either side. It took about 5-10 minutes and it has worked great ever since. I have laminated several...
  8. GlassAdhere

I used the MPI3303 profile. I also laminated with 8518 gloss for a project. Both turned out really good... :) Cutting when laminated takes some tweaking to find the right grams of force.
  9. Industrial Sewing Machine

Thanks for the tip... I would prefer to buy a used unit in good shape and save a few bucks for other equipment needs.
  10. Industrial Sewing Machine

I will check out the T series as we would prefer to have twin needle (dual thread) for our applications. Glad I found out the chain stitch unravels that would have been horrible to find out from a client. I hope to find a used unit this weekend online. Thanks for the help fellas!
  11. Industrial Sewing Machine

Thanks for the heads up on the Chainstitch! I will research the Lockstitch more for sure. I will look into the Brother & Pfaff brands as well. Which models for dual stitch do you recommend from Brother or Pfaff? Thanks again for your input... I hate being a noob at anything and this is...
  12. Industrial Sewing Machine

Hello Everyone... I would like to purchase a new or used sewing machine for our banners. (Scrim 13-18 oz and Mesh 8-10 oz w/ 1" Nylon Strips.) Which do you suggest from the following? Straight stitch. Lockstitch. Chainstitch. (I am leaning towards this after watching some videos.) I...
  13. Vector Doctor

Once again Vector Doctor saves the day... We are covered up with artwork for festivals and wraps right now. Whenever we get a logo that needs to be vectorized we send it his way. He does fast work and offers excellent prices that will not blow up the budget on a project or slow it down. We...
  14. New XF-640 Banding Issue

Wow... so disappointing hearing all the problems with the XR-640. I still run the XC-540 and not sure how they can go from a printer built like a tank to a new version that has so many issues. I hope they fix the issues soon, but no way that last image of the print would pass quality control...
  15. A Gallery of Before and Afters

Love your design skills... You have some very impressive projects.
  16. Printing RED ?

I like the Roland Swatches... print it on primary medias and laminate, then you know what you got.
  17. GlassAdhere

We don't have white print capabilities. So I'm not sure if it would help blockout or if it would still bleed through. But yeah... pretty sure if you just print on clear without any white it might show through..lol. ;) It is a pretty cool product. I am getting some samples ready for a few...
  18. GlassAdhere

Just wanted to say that after testing some GlassAdhere, I was impressed with the print/cut quality of this product. It is used for glass applications and easy to install. When I first touched the media on the back I thought it would not have a good adhesion to the window. I was wrong, it...
  19. History Report: XC-540

I will research the service report functions and see what needs to be done. Thanks for your help fellas...
  20. History Report: XC-540

Hello, Does anyone know how to run/print a History Report on a Roland XC-540? Thanks!
