I'm not sure why it took so long... It could be the company that sold you the unit, it could be Roland making sure the proper procedures are being done to make sure it needs to be replaced. But in the end it is nice to see they switched it out with a new machine. They did the right thing...
Get the runaround on brand new machine? Wow... way to back your new printer Roland. This also goes for tech / rep company. I never liked the fact that Roland makes us buy from Regional authorized dealers. I have sent a couple emails to our local Roland dealer about info and once for parts...
Dave handled our purchase just as agreed. I was very happy with the process and even happier months after he saved me thousands when compared to other units I was looking to purchase at the time.
I am not familiar with the model you purchased. But our Pro C version is pretty sweet and very...
I would be up for testing it and giving it feed back. We are a small company and have the time to give good feedback on any issues or suggestions.
Either way... looking forward to seeing how things turned out.
I'm curious about the head strikes on an XR-640 for the other owners that mentioned they were getting them as well. Is this happening with cast & calendared vinyl prints as well or just mainly with banner type media?
How long does it take to get in the unit? How was your buying experience with them?
Please update your thoughts on the machine when you get a chance.
We are getting ready to buy some new equipment and I would like to have something like this for applying vinyl graphics, transfer taping...
Sorry to hear that you are having those problems. We have had no big issues with printing long runs on our XC-540. We are in the market for purchasing some new equipment, I had been looking at the XR-640 as I have heard great things about it. I figured it was an XC with better inks, wider...
I am very happy with our US Tech Pro 65C. I wish I had just paid a few bucks more for the heat assist. But no biggie...
I am impressed with the tracking and love the push button to raise and lower the unit. I will continue to purchase their laminators in the future. Saves money and they...
I use Flexi to create contour cuts. That is it...
I like Photoshop and Illustrator to design my files.
Then I use Versaworks to rip and print. Looking into EFI right now for non-Roland printer, but will always be a fan of Versaworks.
That looks great... I agree it should be easy to modify for different trailer sizes.
Thanks for sharing!!!
This looks far better than the mock-up I normally use for proofs on small trailers.
No... I normally just have UV prints for those products.
This is a knock-off from the Seal Pro Series... I think it is a great laminator and the price compared to the Seal 18k range is pretty damn sweet.

I had my doubts about the unit when we purchased one. But it has done a great job and no issues after a few rolls have went through the...
