but i did do some posters a few months ago and used the roland paper that came with our machines

we use adobe illust. , sign engine and photoshop with versa works on both our sp300v and vp540
no problems as of yet (1 year on the sp300 and 6 months on the vp540)
i did my sp300 and no problem
then i updated my vp540 and i could not get on my network any more so i restored the computer to about a week before and now i can get on the network again not sure if it was the update or what
use the vector magic very little for you to do except upload your file
the illust. version has a lot more settings you have to fool with and maybe i am just not that good at using it
maybe vector magic is saving all the logos we up load and the sell them on the side

and i think it does a better job than illust. but if you have to use illust. do what ed said

we have a sp300 and we liked it so much that 6 months later we bought the vp540
quality about the same but alot faster
