thanks i will give all these a try i think what the problem was that i was cutting laminated vinyl then switched job and was cutting laminated brushed silver (needs to be a little deeper) and forgot to change the depth

when will this madness end

versa camm sp300v ran a job about 10 sheets 5 large decals on each laminated and cut relized afeter the blade was not deep enough (i know test cut i screwed up) but went back to cut again and they are not lining up if the cutter is supposed to go by the markes shouldn't it cut the same every...

that ion video looks good the idea of sheets/flatbed and roll format is great the other thing that would top it off would be mastering the white ink i know mimaki has it but their machine cost as much as my house

we looked at both machines and ended up with 2 versa camms 1-30" and bought the 54" 6 months later the main reason we went with the roland was because of the print cut together but the mimaki mught be better printer only because of white and clear options for the ink

our company pays 70% of the cost and we have about 20 employees but i think this has to be our worst and may be the biggest expense

repeat after me "test cut" on my versa camm300 with old blade i am at 175 on the versa camm540 with the new blade 125

i turn mine off only because it is in the office and is loud but if i am using it a lot that day i leave it on we also have 2 versa camms they are on all the time and have a sleep mode

what ever hours you choose there are going to be exceptions due to the customers needs whether it be a rush job needed for a show or a truck that just got repaired and needs to have lettering replaced to get it back to their out of state location

like the doc says it has to be vector from the begining a jpg won't change to vector in illustr if you save it as a pdf and then open in illustr

i think it's time to update i think you have to get the file saved as an earlier version or a pdf so you can open it if you can send the file i can open it and save it and send it back unless where ever you downloaded it from can do it for you

not sure what a graphtec costs but for $12,000.00 you can get a 30" roland versa camm and then you can print and cut

sorry about the font thing but why is that a problem
