Why are you under the impression that you need to turn the letters "into something"?

I don't think you are going to find any professionals willing to work on a "Design me something and if i like it I will pay you" basis, you would be better off asking to see someones portfolio, and if you like their style and think it would work well for this companies logo, ask for pricing.

I have to agree with Gino on this, none of these look very appealing. If you are charging what you should for logo design, you should have no problem having a designer create something much more professional for you and still make some money on the job.

how many colours are there on the plate? if you want to give me a call there are a few suppliers in the area we use for this type of stuff

Yeah i ran into the same problem a while ago, it was very annoying. Depending on your design program, it may be easier to break the design into panels there instead of in versaworks.

yeah the odd spelling of the name mixed with the hard to read font creates a mental stop sign for me, if I saw this in traffic i would miss the rest of the wrap cause i would spend the whole time trying to figure out what your name was!

that looks like it's acid etched, I know Gemini does this, but it's not cheap. a local machine shop may be able to mill these out of aluminum for you, you would just have to paint it black and than buff the paint off the high areas.

this is what happens when customer supplied "design" meets customer "installation" I bet he saved a ton of money over paying some "ripoff" sign shop to do it! Think of all the money he can put back into his business (what does he do exactly?)

a bit off topic, but are personal cheques the norm in the USA? I was in buffalo a few weeks ago and the person in front of me at the grocery store payed for her groceries with a cheque. I haven't seen that in Canada for at least 10-15 years and I don't think you could even do it to be honest...

i've never seen a unionized sign shop, at least not a small local operation. so it's either support unions, or support your local businesses, can't have both!
