yeah it can be hard, I think we may be lucky, our area seems to buy into the whole "shop local" idea, i've never had someone come in with a online price and ask us to match it. maybe it's because the average age in this town is 70 lol!

We decided to partner with a LOCAL print shop for all flyers business cards etc. the deal is that we send customers to them for paper type printing, and they send customers to us for signage and decals etc. it's worked out quite well for both of us and it helps keep the money local.

you could cut the vinyl into little strips, it makes a great valentines or anniversary gift for your wife, tell her she never has to buy those expensive waxing strips again!

lol, $10 per sq/ft is nothing when you consider the labour involved in removing the old vinyl and adhesive, and the cost of buying new (non avery) vinyl. Plus i think it sounds a bit suspicious that the have already anticipated their product failing and set a cap on the amount of compensation...

for that design, I would weed away the unwanted bits at the shop, apply wet, and squeegee side to side, not up and down. it would't hurt to have another set of hands to help you as well.
