after reading everything on this thread, i have the beg the question, "am i the only one with a gerber plotter?" i've only ever used gerber plotters.....started out with the super sprint, moved to the gs15, now have the envision 375 and p2c.....

if you think this site "used to be pretty good" obviously you're looking at a different site than the rest of us...or at least not looking at the site with signmaker eyes......this isn't a forum for the average joe, because the average joe isn't going to understand most of the technical...

actually he said he just wanted to make stickers that he wanted when he needed...not that a sign guy wouldn't make the stickers how he wanted them i personally don't see this as a hobby because it's what i do for a living then be my guest to buy a machine and make "stickers" for other...

i want a sticker cutter so i can cut 20 8in high letters in a 24in space, cuz that'll look GREAT!!!!

that software is pushed a lot on the author's forum i'm a member of...never tried it...i have microsoft, so i don't really need it..

trajan is the one font i hate the most....mainly cause a local musik festival uses it in the logo, and on almost all of their signage...i deal with that font for the entire month of july....which makes me not want to use it any other time of the year...

sans serif - i usually go for swiss serif - depends on the sign....i've always love benguiat for some reason, but find that i don't use it very much display - there are so many that i love, i can think of just one to put here

not sure of the font in the first one either....did you check urbanfonts.com....you can search by category, and enter in your own sample text.....if they don't have the exact font, you should be able to find something close....

plotter? i guess you wouldn't need a gerber plotter as long as you have the bomb scope...as far as software, i don't know for sure, but i'd think yes....i don't think you'd be able to get the edge to print otherwise....personally, i've only used gerber plotters and gerber software when printing...

i don't know any software that'll import a cdl file....i have yet to find one....the only thing i can suggest, if you really need the clipart, is bring it into the demo version, and grab a screen cap, then use that to trace it in your other software....more time consuming, but at least you'll...

that's the biggest problem i have....all the learning tools i find are for photoshop.....and i run photopaint from the corel suite....

is it the signlab clipart cd? i don't run signlab any more, but the last time i checked all their clipart was vector, ready to go...

make sure that when you're printing black, that you're printing just the black, and not using the CMY to make the black.....

the place i work for got med benefits for me...then i got pregnant (total surprise), and benefits only covered complication....so we dropped the benefits and i married my boyfriend....otehrwise, it would be fully covered by the place i work for....
