  1. Wrap Which material might be suitable?

LOL. I was thinking something similar. That's a great wrap. Too bad the tanks on the back look so dirty. Excellent job on the design and installation! :cool1:
  2. Wrap Which material might be suitable?

Although ORACAL markets 3551RA for wraps, it's done with a caveat. Since it's an intermediate calendered film, it won't conform over compound curves. They recommend it for wrapping slab-sided vehicles like Scion XBs and Hummers. For vehicles with more curvaceous contours--think VW New Beetle...
  3. Flexi with Windows 7?

Graphtec now has 64 bit drivers for the FC8000 series cutters.
  4. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

I was just talking with one of our color technicians about this question. You can print 48" unidirectionally in Graphics One mode. If you load 48" banner media, that leaves a total margin of one inch. You can print it so that you'll have about a half inch margin on either side, but it takes...
  5. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

Our standard price for a 1204 print head is in that range; a little lower actually. I'm working with LongBeachmichael and our tech support manager to find out why his quote was out of whack.
  6. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

I don't know why our part prices would be higher but if you'll pm me with the others you've seen, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback.
  7. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

Yes you can purchase maintenance stations, wipers and other normal wear items. The print head should be installed by a certified Mutoh maintenance technician; otherwise you may void your warranty. You may order the parts from our tech support department. You can reach them at 800-966-1783
  8. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

Our techs were able to um...modify the firmware on some of the early models to speed them up. :-)
  9. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

The PrismJET is the black model. Because Mutoh manufactures them as ValueJETs, they all carry the ValueJET decal (which is a little confusing), but ours are marketed as the PrismJET VJ48.
  10. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

I understand where you're coming from. We've looked at our shipping policies several times recently and considered revisions. The problem is, with all of our packages being sent from two locations, shipping is a larger cost for us than it is for some smaller resellers. If we gave free shipping...
  11. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

I don't' see a significant difference between the two images you've posted. Since that print test was conducted almost three years ago, I don't recall what the settings were, but they were comparable. The main difference between the VersaCamm and the PrismJET EXtra C was not print speed or...
  12. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

Thanks for the feedbback. I'll see if we can get that clarified on the web.
  13. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

We have two options: a bare bones version which is slower than the 1304 and the one with the speed upgrade which is rated the same as the 1304. These days most people choose the one with the speed upgrade. It's not a $3,000 upgrade by the way. The total difference between the two packages is...

Daniel or one of his associates at Tuned Color should also be able to help.
  15. Misinformation about PrismJET VJ48/Mutoh 1204

Hello Signs101 folks! It's come to our attention that some of our esteemed competitors are misleading people about the nature of our PrismJET VJ48. So, in an attempt to clear the air, I thought I'd post a brief clarification. Discontinued model? Some customers are being told that the PrismJET...
  16. Die cutting with crop marks (how to?)

Yes, you will be using Illustrator, not Master Plus. Your version will not support the contour cut process. In order to use the Graphtec RMS firmware, you'll need to print Graphtec registration marks, not "blue circle" style crop marks. The videos Bill is referring to are HERE.
  17. Die cutting with crop marks (how to?)

Kembie, the best way to perform contour cutting with a Graphtec plotter is to control the entire workflow from one workstation. Proper alignment of the raster and vector info printing and cutting from different software applications can be done, but it's going to be problematic. Your LXi...
  18. Okay...So I'm gonna sign a SIGN WAREHOUSE Lease

Since I'm the official SignWarehouse representative here my response may be seen as less objective: and of course it is. So I'll just give you all a few facts to consider (some of which Jim has already alluded to). • SignWarehouse maintains one of largest tech support staff at the reseller...
  19. VP540i

Not bashing the Roland, just trying to put the updates in perspective. Both are good machines and they each have their virtues. And although 3.5 times faster sounds incredible, the Mutoh's with the Intelligent Interweave firmware are quite fast even at high resolution. You really have to see it...
  20. VP540i

lol. I think you're pulling my leg Robert. I'm pretty sure the VersaCamm doesn't print at 101,18 sf/hour. If it did it, that would be one heckuva firmware upgrade!
