  1. Grayscale B&W TIFF image printing greenish?

I have a grayscale TIFF image I am printing through VW and it is printing the black with a greenish tint. I changed the color setting by lowering the CYM and increased the B, and it doesn't change anything. What am I missing or not doing? Thanks for any help on this.... :thankyou:
  2. Why didn't I think of that???? (scaling)

Yep, I always use a perfect size target for scale, it can be anything as long as you know it true size. CADTools for Illy is a MUST, if you don't have you are missing a great asset, it turns Illy into AUTOCAD (almost). The only issue you need to worry about in lens distortion, if you place...
  3. Metallic laminate??

Typically, a laminate is CLEAR protector coat to laminate over your printed vinyl, I never heard of a metallic laminate. They do make Metallic Vinyl's, what are you trying to do?
  4. solid color van wrap questions

If it was me, I just paint the hinges black with Krylon, that's how I address this issue. If they remove the wrap at a later date and what the truck white again, they just paint the hinges white, no big deal. Plastic-Dip paint can be scratched and removed very easily, it peels off if you rub...

  6. 70 inches of daylight balanced LED's installed on printer for under $17

The LED light strip is awesome, I just love how it lights up the print head area of my printer, I don't know why these printers don't come with this option. The $4.15 price for the plug-n-play wireless remote was an unbelievable low price, only issue I am still waiting for it, it was ordered on...

  8. Printhead Recovery

Don't know about Digiprint, however one of the vendors (responded on here one time) that sell the print head offered FREE technical assistance for installation when purchasing the print head from them. That's who I would purchase from because I don't what to pay a tech $150 per hour including...
  9. Printhead Recovery

I haven't purchased any yet, but in one of the links I provided someone listed where they purchased two heads (different vendors), there is a merchant member on here that sells print heads, maybe someone will respond tomorrow (work day), I think most folks on here do so from their shop (I am...
  10. Printhead Recovery

Well, I have NOT done that personally, however I have read that others have done it and it worked, the think I remember MOST is you need to pull very SLOWLEY so not to hurt the head. Looking at your nozzle test prints your heads look pretty bad, so I don't think you have anything to loose. I...

  13. Printhead Recovery

Well then, it just may be time for NEW heads, instead of paying someone $300 per hear and no guarantee they can recover them? I would just purchase the NEW heads and replace them myself....
  14. Printhead Recovery

Do your homework and check this site carefully, there is one company that offers print head recovery and they are shysters (scammers), I have read a few horror stories on Signs101 about them. They take your money and keep you print head for a very long time and keep telling you they are almost...

  19. Mounting a 4x8 on laminator.....

Andriy, Thanks so much for making the sketch, as Confucius said "a picture is worth a 1000 words". Many times people are very familiar with a process (they see the images in their head) however when they use words to describe the process, flip this, turn that, put tape on the edge, etc, and if...
  20. Mounting a 4x8 on laminator.....

Pat, ok I get it now (almost) thanks to Andriy's sketch, and I assume that you tape the sled (6-8") and the substraight together on the bottom, but where do you put the TAPE HINGE?
